Targeting The North Rim

The tour continues. This week it's a plunge south into the Mesquite, Nevada furnace. Then through Hurricane, Utah into Zion National Park and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. It's gonna be hot down there. I'll take some pictures. Probably won't be posting anything for a few days- at least until Monday as I ponder our epic fall into socialism.

Maybe Shaky Was Right

I am in awe. I am in awe that so many seemingly intelligent people could act so stupidly and so short sighted-ly. Obama and the Supreme Court members. Harvard indoctrinations. Lawyers. Most of Congress too. Maybe Shaky had it right. As the famous remark by the plotter of treachery in Shakespeare's King Henry VI shows - "The first thing we must do is kill all the lawyers," - the surest way to chaos and tyranny even then was to remove the guardians of independent thinking. Are lawyers the guardians of independent thinking? Is that how it is? Are the rest of us chopped liver because we chose not to waste our lives studying the man made history of law? Does common sense, economics, or a history of democratic governments failing have no bearing? The trappings of man are simple. We seek short term solutions and completely ignore the larger picture. The large picture of course, is ultimately, chaos and collapse. Obamacare will help accomplish that. I ca...

Can the Supreme Court Issue a Ruling Without Hedging It?

Image
It's doubtful. Tomorrow we will get the Supreme Court's ruling on Obamacare. After reading their chicken shit ruling on Arizona's immigration law- and considering that this is an election year- I am going to predict that the court will do the same thing with Obamacare. I have covered this topic ad nauseum. The bill nobody read with outrageous premiums and penalities nobody knows about. Obama supporters successfully obtaining waivers allowing them to avoid payment and my favorite part of Obamacare...drumroll here....let's pass a bill and implement it so many years in the future- that we will be long gone before anyone can evaluate the negative consequences. I will also say this. You cannot pass Obamacare without tackling the illegal alien issue. We simply cannot afford to dilute the premium pool with a bunch of non tax paying refugees.  This bill has absolutely frozen the job market. It has also frozen millions of people like me who have no health care but need s...

Where the Moonbat Grows

Stockton, California is a great place to be from. http://in.reuters.com/article/2012/06/25/economy-stockton-idINL2E8HP8Z720120625 So in addition to being the biggest city to ever declare bankruptcy- Stockton has a couple of other things going for it. It is America's fattest and dumbest city. From wiki... In the February 2, 2011 issue of Forbes, the magazine gave Stockton the dubious distinction of being the "most miserable" US city, largely as a result of the steep drop in home values. [ 14 ] Central Connecticut State University surveys from 2005 and 2006 ranked the city as the least literate of all U.S. cities with a population of more than 250,000. [ 15 ] [ 16 ] [ 17 ] According to a Gallup poll, Stockton was tied with Montgomery, Alabama for the most obese metro area in the United States of America with an obesity rate of 34.6 percent. [ 18 Fat, dumb, and broke. Another wonderful moonbat social experiment gone awry. Soon the entire state of California w...

Supreme Court On the "Theory" of Immigration Law

Today the Supreme Court issued their ruling on Arizona's immigration law which upheld a police officer's right to check your citizenship status. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/supreme-court-upholds-key-part-arizona-immigration-law-141927514.html In the decision, not once did I see anyone refer to the Federal Government's absolute failure to enforce existing law. So here's where it gets funny. The Supreme Court is forced to rule on the theory that the federal government is actually enforcing the law. In other words, nobody is addressing the real problem- which is a government that fails to do the job that it assigned itself. That's why we have government. To protect us and our borders. We don't hire people to do nothing. They either do a job or they don't. In the real world, we eliminate the people who do nothing. Every time I fired someone who did nothing- I gained productivity. Funny how that works.
