Compton Goes Bankrupt, He Who Panics First- Panics Best

I count five cities in California that are bankrupt. In chronological order- here they are.

Vallejo, Mammoth Lakes, Stockton, San Bernardino, and now Compton.

These cities combined serve about 500k residents. Mammoth is puny- only about 10k residents. So after all the talk, all the bullshit, all of the can kicking-it's finally here. California is finally going bankrupt- one city at a time.

All of the infrastructure strain and out of control spending and regulation is finally taking it's toll.

All hell will begin to break loose when Los Angeles finally declares bankruptcy. In the basin, that will affect 10-12 million people depending on who does the counting. Conspriracy Theorists Proven Credible Once Again

The morbidly naive and stupid, not so much. A lot of interesting stuff today.

Anytime you have predatory capitalism- you are going to have conspiracies. That is how wolves hunt. They gang up on you. It's called price fixing.

Oil companies don't want to give away oil. Drug companies don't want to make reasonable profits when they can make outlandish ones. Have you noticed the identical rates for cell phone providers? Cable and satellite tv? You probably think their costs are all the same. The greatest price fixers of all are central bankers. They set rates on fictional money that they don't own and that doesn't exist. You can't top that piece of wizardry. So in the new age- you get the laws rigged to accommodate your business (like 20 year patent protection) and then you put the wood to consumers. Like 25 bucks for a 10 mg pill of Cialis.

Yes sweetheart, conspiracies do exist.

The Way of St. Warren

Each and every year for the past 30 years, Allen and Company have descended upon Moonbat Valley. (Sun Valley, Id.) They do this to vacation, recreate, to exchange information, and to find new and exciting ways to make a few more billion.

Among locals, the arrival of Allen and Company represents a bountiful harvest. Everyone fawns over the attendees as though their lives depended on it. For a lucky few, Allen and Company means some serious dough. The local paper always tries to get some tidbits of information from these titans of finance but inevitably they get snubbed. So Moonbat Valley has become the annual pilgrimmage for a few of the world's elite. The Way of St. James is a christian pilgrimmage and walk across Northern Spain...In America, we have the Way of St Warren. The Way of St. Warren involves a few hundred people flying private jets to Moonbat Valley with their own NYPD security detail, listening to people yak, swilling cocktails, and golfing. A few deals get struck as the elite figure out new ways to funnel money to political candidates who promise not to tax them. Sometimes, they come up with new ideas for making even more money because that's how folks like this keep score. Too much is never enough. Thus, the Way of St. Warren has become an annual capitalist pilgrimmage where the longest walk might be down to the wrinkle room for a Manhattan. (Among locals, the bar in the Sun Valley Lodge is called the wrinkle room)

I used to get physically ill watching the Way of St. Warren each year. Private jets blasting in and out. Every rental car between Boise and Moonbat Valley gets hijacked. It's like the whole valley turns into hired help, gossiping about Oprah Winfrey and begging for tips. I can't even escape the madness here in Boise. One of my favorite employees at the YMCA is in Moonbat Valley this week helping the rich and famous stay fit. Making tips, I think.  

I never made one thin dime from those titans of finance. Truth is, I think I gave them far more money over the years than they gave me. Odd, it's almost as though they planned it that way.

 











 

 

"I Have a Promising Future Behind Me" The Sunday Collage

First...just a wee bit of housekeeping.

I have grown weary of watching the government extort money on behalf of "victims" and then keep the money for themselves. Not to mention the moral and systemic failure of this administration to  actually prosecute anyone. This started 4 years ago with the civil trial of Angelo Mozilo at Countrywide. Mozilo was such an easy target that he simply forfeited millions and was able to buy his way out of prison. Very often I report on this failure to criminally charge people but extort fine money instead. It's the new rage.

President Co Opted has never lifted a finger to install the rule of law or begin any kind of restorative justice in this country- and as I have noted previously- that is his prime directive as the head of the executive branch of government. Not that he has ever paid too much attention to the job description. This epic fail has not been lost on many of us who understand just who's job- policing this country is.

Eric Holder is an example of "who we are as a people" as Obama likes to say. If Holder and Obama are examples of "who we are" we are chest high in shit. I am supremely confident that they are the moral minority. I know dope dealers with more integrity.

That and we know that the entire criminal class of bankers in this country has bought and paid for all of our politicians.

At any rate, Jim G. at Conservatives on Fire pointed out that a recent 175 million dollar fine, extorted once again by the government on behalf of victims, was actually going to be delivered to victims.
I had posted a piece about this and I suppose having watched our government extort fines and keep them for so long- I missed that they were actually going to pass restitution down to the victims. I removed the story from the blog because I really had no way to correct my mistake. Thanks, Jim.

A few years ago- I met a man with two engineering degrees from Tulane. He owned his own tree trimming business. When I remarked that his occupation seemed odd given his degrees- he said, "Yep, I got a promising future behind me." He laughed like a hyena and told me he had never been happier.

I liked this guy right away. The rat race it seemed- had lost a contestant.

Now at some point in my past, I was making about 60 bucks an hour (with benefits) courtesy of the taxpayers. I was about as ungrateful as one can be while making that kind of dough. That is not a point I am particularly proud of and to be sure- I realize now how fortunate I was.

As lost as I was- I believe our country is following suit. We are on an unsustainable path that absolutely has to collapse. Here is the ugliest truth. There is no way on God's green earth that either Obama or the republican banker boy- have the nuts to fix this mess. You cannot muster up a spine or any usable amount of personal courage between the two of these people. The situation is dire.

I actually know people who are naive enough to think that their government pension is guaranteed.

Up until the politicans cannot pay it. And then the politicians will simply remove the laws that promised it. This is now playing out in Stockton and San Berdoo. When the bankruptcy goes statewide- which it should have done already- things will unfold fast. How much longer can politicians extend and pretend? How long before a big city, like L.A., throws in the towel? It can't be too far off. And once that happens- I expect a few states to tumble and start begging the Feds for a bailout. The Feds will have to act and that is how I expect the tsunami to start.

And the morbidly optimistic, that class of people who ignore all things bad, will be shocked into consciousness. Perhaps it will come as they watch American Idol.

Today, I make a fraction of what I used to. I am grateful for that. We have grown fat, lazy, and complacent in this country. We need a giant sized reset. It'll happen and once it does- we can get well. Until then, I'm convinced we have a promising future behind us.

This Is How The Federal Government Failed You

I have often stated that government only has one main purpose. To protect and ensure the safety of it's citizens.

When your government cannot even do that- it's time to re-think why you have a government in the first place.

This is the carnage left behind by a Federal Government that allowed millions upon millions of illegal aliens to enter the US on behalf of the corporations and elitists who use their labor. Now we have Obamacare. Can you imagine providing free healthcare to Central and South America? I can't.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most-wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in Los Angeles are Spanish speaking.

10. In Los Angeles County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.
