Does Anyone Read This Blog?

I started this blog sometime in 2009. At that time, I had just witnessed lame duck President George Bush, Hank Paulson, and Congress literally steal a trillion dollars worth of taxpayer money and deliver it to their banker friends. I was incensed when Paulson told Congress not to worry about who got what. Really. Except for some grumbling- people apparently didn't care. I was amazed.

That's when I started this blog. I had just retired. I had been a cop and I know grand theft when I see it- even when the suspects call it something else.

So I guess I've been writing here for 3 years. Tonight, loyal reader Fredd asks a fair question. Does anyone read this blog? And if they do- why don't they ever comment?

A few commenters have told me that they have attempted to leave comments but were not able to do so. I restructured the commenting box- hoping that I had fixed the problem. That was months ago. When I went to the new flipcard system I went from 250 pageviews to 1500 but I'm not sure the commenting problem was ever really solved. The lack of comments has left me bewildered. Even nasty ones. I used to get more comments when I wrote on a smaller site- most of those were the caustic, anonymous, and chicken shit variety. So...

I would like to ask you for one small favor. If you have read this page, would you please try to leave a comment? Anything, even a letter will work. If that fails, would you please send a brief email to letfreedomringagain@live.com? Maybe describe the problem...I promise not to sell your addy or get in some flame war with you if you are honest and say the site or my writing simply doesn't interest you.

I am going to leave this up for a few days- while I try to decide whether to continue to write here. I want to thank all of you who will take the time to comment or write. I also want to thank Fredd for asking a fair question.

Brian

Thanks for your work and thoughts, brother. I don't comment on much of anything on the intardwebs, still nice to get anothers perspective indirectly. Keep it up. Just cause you are on your own, don't mean you are alone. Cheers

@ 3/11/2012 4:02 a.m. not anonymous, just not techno savvy. Jason Jones(yeah that's my real name), St. Louis, Mo. The Bad People already know who you are. Fuck 'em. Comment section seems to work just fine. Any other vaguely right minded folks around here?

I read whenever you post. You have a good blog with thoughtful messages.
Commenting. I like the white background - less taxing on the eyes.
I don't get a lot of comments either, but I figure people are just sitting there with their mouths hanging open, unable to process what I said, or speak on it.

Feedback is important, however....a wise person once told me to not ever interact in discussions about politics, religion, or sports....it always has negative expected value.
Sort of like playing 7-2os.

I'd like to see more of your humorous stories and less political sway, but it is your blog....keep it going, I read it daily.
Don't you dare stop blogging. Yours is probably the most entertaining blog I read on a regular basis. I get comments at my place but I get less than 200 hits a day. You are reaching a lot of people, Brian. Hang in there, my friend.

Don't stop the blogs, Brian. You are a smart man, and give us info that perhaps we haven't even thought of. Your personal stories are some of the funniest, most poignant, I have read in years! When you can make this cynical, smart ass laugh until she has tears rolling down her face, you are excelling at your craft. The world is a brighter and better place because of you and your words. 911Chick

i read almost daily. you want a comment? obama is the biggest scam in the history of this country. april 27th release of the whitehouse.gov long form birth certificate forgery sealed the deal for me especially after obamafraud took special pains to 'get permission from hawai'i and flew his own attornery down to pick it up for special delivery. what followed was pure shit. that would normally take some balls to tell such a lie to the world, but when you know 'your people' you govern over don't hardly give a shit about the time of day except when 'american idol' or 'you can be a star' come one, then you know you can lie daily and it isn't going to matter. we have at least 11% unemployment and 500% over GDP debt, but you won't find these kinds of truths watching your boob tube. i guess the real question is why won't the courts or people in charge do anything about it all? therein lies the real vomiting, painful truth about the real state of our government.

Keep up the good work Brian! Truth is real beauty because it is so rare now. Okay, I promise to never post again.

I like reading your blog. This is my first comment to anyone anywhere.
I do not interact with others anymore.

Brian: I have noticed that sometimes the site won't give me the drop down window to comment, nor will it let me observe other's comments. This seems to be a sporadic problem-I have windows 7, and clear my cache, and everything, but sometimes the site just does this to me. My computer is just a year old and an i7 so pretty fast-thought you might want to know.................911chick
