The other day, I was going through my dashboard when I read a piece posted by the "Arctic Patriot." In the second paragraph, he makes a rather interesting statement. When writing publicly he offers, you put your thoughts out here and assume somebody wants to read about them. "It's really quite pretentious if you ask me." http://arcticpatriot.blogspot.com/
That is something I have never thought about yet I understand. That written thought also illustrates the power of writing and why we do it. We are conveying thoughts and ideas. We are speaking as free men using the greatest medium ever invented.
Bloggers can write about things that would never get published in your local paper. Just yesterday, I wrote a piece about morally bankrupt lawyers. Many of them are still working. Where are you going to publish something like that? Where are we going to speak the truth about scared and fearful men who are willing to look the other way any time some elite, powerful, wealthy, or connected people get investigated or arrested?
You can't. The truth about people is seen as malicious gossip among the fearful stewards of society. We can't talk freely about corrupt people because corrupt and fearful people don't like it.
To hell with them.
We can talk about our absolutely worthless President and our ineffective and corrupt Congressmen. We can swear and post nude pictures. The internet, right now, offers the last really free opportunity to speak without edit and without interference. In fact, this medium might actually save our country. I don't think I am over stating that.
Imagine some poor AP or UP writer drone writing articles that don't really interest him. He faces deadlines and has to submit his work to some managing editor- who not only carves up his work but decides what content is fit to print. All of the media outfits are owned by the elite and financed by banks. That is the evolution of things and the reason why they are now part of the problem. Media outlets are further handcuffed by regulatory bodies like the FCC. Then the writers are subjected to the political and business philosophy of their masters. What a horrible way to live and write. Personally, I wouldn't do it.
Rupert Murdoch be damned. Bloggers can write any fucking thing we want. That doesn't mean there are no consequences- I accept the consequences when I write.
In February of this year, one of my best friends was killed in an explosion. My friend was seen as an adversary by the mortician that took possession of his body and ran the funeral. I knew all of that history. When I arrived at the funeral, of all of the things available to say, this mortician/coroner chose to ask me "if I was still pontificating or blogging." Whether that statement was insensitive, poorly timed or poorly thought our, or simply malicious is hard to say. I cannot tell you how difficult it was to suppress my instinctual desires at that moment. There were 400-500 people present. I am going to give this guy the benefit of the doubt and just assume he is an idiot. There will be other days.
I spent a career telling the truth. Being honest and telling the truth were the corner stones of my existence until there came a day and time when I could no longer be honest or tell the truth. When that time comes, and I surely hope it does not come for any of you, it is time for you to quit what you are doing or leave.
Is blogging pretentious? Perhaps. However, I don't think writing publicly is anymore pretentious than a painter selling paintings or a street musician trying to make a buck by playing. If you enjoy what you do- people will notice. Our ability to share thoughts and ideas, to rally people, to call out irresponsible and corrupt thinking, are just some of the reasons we write. It is the reason guys like Arctic Patriot write. We all agree we have serious problems in the U.S. We don't runaway and hide or pretend they don't exist. We address those problems. If the Arctic Patriot or I thought that blogging was so pretentious and really trumped our right to engage in free speech- we wouldn't write.
But we do.

America's Lost Rule of Law
For a few years and on this very blog, I have spoken at great length about America's two tiered criminal justice system. In my little corner of the world, I enforced our laws for 25 years. In Moonbat Valley, I saw more than one connected person escape prosecution because at the very heart of a corrupt criminal justice system- are the prosecutors. These are the guys and gals who can dismiss anything or bring about a criminal charge without fear of reprisal or lawsuit. All they have to do is concoct some palatable excuse for their actions (i.e. make shit up and sell it to the voters) and they manage to get re-elected. Prosecutors have enormous power. Attorney General crooks like Holder are virtually untouchable. The family of that slain border patrol agent killed by the reprehensible actions of a corrupt government will never see justice. It will not happen. With a corrupt President- there will be no investigation. Only a cover up.
When did this moral decay begin? I point to the summer of '69 and Ted Kennedy. That was when our two tiered criminal justice system became apparent or transparent- you pick the adjective.
For me, it was that night in July when a drunken Ted Kennedy drove his car off the Chappaquiddick Bridge and left a girl to drown in six feet of water. The Kennedy family paid off the Kopechnes' to the tune of 460,000 if memory serves me correctly. Kennedy was never charged for killing Mary Jo Kopechne, remaining free and becoming a full fledged alcoholic and a senator for the next 40 years. In 1969 everyone (including my parents) in Montana were talking about that. I remember.
A few years later President Nixon pulled his Watergate burglary. He resigned in disgrace and was pardoned by his hand picked successor, Gerald Ford. He should have been prosecuted and jailed. In fact, that would have righted an old Kennedy wrong. Proof that nobody is above the law. As it turns out, the legal system failed us again and did the cowardly thing. It has been doing the cowardly thing for decades. In fact, most of the rich and elite play by one set of rules, the rest of us by another set. I doubt anybody will argue that.
The latest outrage comes to us via the 60 Minutes program that exposed the nasty insider trading world of our Congressmen. Nancy Pelosi making a million or two as Visa offers her a bribe. It is virtually impossible to get shares of stock in a very hot IPO or initial public offering- banking institutions receive them and only offer them to their best clients. Everybody knows the shares of a hot IPO are going straight up. Such was the case of Visa and Nancy Pelosi...however Pelosi at the time was drafting legislation that would have hurt Visa's profits. Thus the bribe. All sickeningly legal. http://wolffiles.blogspot.com/2011/11/stopping-legalized-plunder-one.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+WolfFiles12PureHope+%28Wolf+Files%3A+12%25+Pure+Hope%29
I was a rookie cop in the early 80's when I got my first taste of moral decay on a local level. I arrested a Congressman's son for DUI and Possession of Cocaine. The cocaine charge was dismissed by the prosecutor, a man who is currently the Democratic Chair for the State of Idaho. (go figure) He blamed me for that incident by telling me I had not filed the paperwork correctly. Fair enough, easily curable. Except it was never cured. Possession of cocaine was a felony. In fact, I am not even sure what happened to the DUI. That was my first taste of our two tiered criminal justice system. And...
A few years later I watched a different prosecutor refuse to charge a personal friend of his with delivery of a controlled substance- that after we bought cocaine from his friend twice. And just to prove all of this wasn't a nasty fluke or coincidence- I watched as a third prosecutor dismissed charges against another politicians' relatives- on a couple of different occasions.
People love to talk about police corruption. Shit, if you wanna see corruption get inside a prosecutors office somewhere. These guys are in a whole different zip code. Politicians with power that cannot be held accountable or sued. You don't hear about it because nobody is going to disclose it. That inner circle, the society of crooked lawyers, is truly off limits in mainstream America.
I would see that same mis-conduct over and over again throughout the years. Then I saw the same shit again on a national stage when every crooked bank originator, crooked rating agency, and Wall St. reseller was given a free pass by President Obama after the election in 2008. We will look forward not backward, Obama said. That is code for nobody is going to jail. The best President money can buy. Gee, another attorney.
You think I dislike attorneys? Guilty as charged... with a few exceptions. I'll tell you where I deviate from the general public. I don't let those bastards intimidate me through their implied threat of lawsuits. I don't bow to bullies. Let's face it. Lawyers are bullies. Lawyers scare the hell out of the general public who in turn are scared to death of being sued and losing what little they have acquired. But I digress...
America has lost it's integrity. It has become an epidemic and I am not sure how to rein it in. I have often thought that ethics and morality should be mandatory instruction in schools. Perhaps like an illness, it has to run it's course. It has to get worse in order to get better. In a perfect world where everyone practiced rigorous and conscious internal honesty, this shit would not happen. But we are not in that perfect world- we live in a world where every criminally complicit act is rationalized and justified. Where decisions are based on what is convenient to the decision maker's career. Personal courage is no longer valued. We don't even stick up for those few individuals that display personal courage. They are left to fend for themselves while we snicker about some rich or elite bastard squashing them like bugs.
That's a sad commentary. I wish it weren't true, but it is. Perhaps some future generation will see the value of morality again and reincarnate the rule of law in this country.

Idaho Gunman Shoots At White House Apparently Unaware That the Obamas' Are On Their 27th Vacation
The dude has a hispanic name.
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/nationnow/2011/11/was-gunman-trying-to-shoot-president-obama.html
In addition to being a foreign (and perhaps illegal) dumb-ass, clearly the dude doesn't get on line much. Just yesterday, I had an aussie complaining that Obama was in Australia. I apologized, asked if they would keep him, and I even volunteered to pay child support. He declined. Apparently, they already have their quota of marxist dipshits in Australia. Maybe we will have to plan a vacation for Obama in South Korea.
And to think that Joe Biden is ready to climb in at any moment...that should be enough to prevent anyone but the most retarded from ever trying a stunt like this again.
They got him. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203611404577041963241191858.html

You Had Better Pay Attention to the Eurozone, Here's the Short Course on Why
A week or two ago, I got into a rather unpleasant back and forth with my father. This happens for two reasons. The number one reason this happens is because he is still my dad and as such, he thinks he is always right. The second reason we got in a nasty back and forth is that in fact, I know I am right. I no longer yield when the facts are on my side. Which brings me to the most effective and operative quote I have ever employed while mired in debate club.
You are entitled to your opinion, however, you are not entitled to your own set of facts.
I spend 4 or 5 hours a day on line. I read mostly. I clip and I write. It is hard work. I have nearly 100 websites I read every day. Most are on my blog roll. I do this to teach myself and make informed decisions. I also find the world fascinating. The world is on the precipice of the greatest economic disaster of all time. This was brought about by rampant greed. The symptoms are leverage, re-insurance, counter party risk, derivatives, swaps and all kinds of nasty financial instruments that I do and do not understand. Do you know what a credit default swap is? If you don't, how can you argue the merits or financial risk that they represent? You can't. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Credit_default_swap These instruments are complex for a reason. A very purposeful reason. They are designed to exploit the people who do not fully understand them. Situation ally, they can be quite lucrative...
The United States and Canada are fully exposed to the Eurozone in a far greater capacity than most people understand. Of course our bankers understate this. Just as Bank of America claims they are cash flush while selling every asset in sight and begging Warren Buffett for money. Shit is getting really interesting, really fast. But what do I know? Listen to this guy instead, courtesy of Plan B Economics. Only 90 seconds of your life.

C Span Asks the Supreme Court To Allow the Televising of Obamacare Oral Arguments
Holy shit! The chances of the earth imploding are greater than the Supreme Court televising those proceedings.
In the face of overwhelming common sense arguments, folks like Kagan and Sotomayor would not be able to vote for Obamacare without exposing themselves as the communist lapdogs that they are. Trust me, those simple little minds were made up long ago.
Good luck! *Fiendish laugh. http://www.newsmax.com/US/C-Span-Supreme-Court-Obama/2011/11/16/id/418202

US Debt Blows Past The 15 Trillion Mark
When does the debt apocalypse happen? When taxpayers quit paying. Remember when 15 trillion was a lot of money?
Stolen from ZeroHedge:
Too sad for commentary, but here is some math: total US debt has increased by 41.5%, or $4.4 trillion, from $10,626,877,048,913 on January 20, to $15,033,607,255,920, under Obama as president.

Why Hating The Right Is Almost As Productive As Hating The Left
I absolutely love this shit. Now Newt Gingrich, the new favorite flavor of the GOP, has been found to have his head squarely in the Freddie Mac trough for about a decade. As a consultant, Newt cannot determine just how much money he made off hand. He assures us that he will look into it. http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/11/16/8838779-gingrich-cant-say-how-much-he-netted-from-freddie-consulting
So let's recap. We got Herman Cain, elite millionaire and former central banker. Mr. Romney, elite castle owner (5 total) and founder of Romney care which is currently subsidized by the Federal Government. And we have Mr. Gingrich, king of personal relationships and skimming government ventures. Bush III, Rick Perry, appears like he's toast. Michelle Bachmann, former IRS attorney, is the other slice in the toaster.
So let's see, who does that leave? Oh yea, Ron Paul. No skimming, no profiteering, no insider trading, no FED banking on resume, no multiple marriages, no castles, and he ain't a lawyer. He actually has intergrity, and personal courage. A transparent multi decade voting record. Gosh, we can't have him.
I can't wait to see what piece of garbage the GOP offers up. I'm not sure the GOP can beat Obama. They will default on the white Obama, Romney. Either way, rest assured... it's business as usual.

Proof That Our Countrymen Have Lost Their Minds
I have to admit. The second paragraph of this mainstream media piece on the repeal of Obamacare scares the absolute shit out of me. Let me post it here.
A Gallup survey of more than 1,000 U.S. adults found that 47 percent favor the repeal of healthcare reform, versus 42 percent who want the law kept in place. Eleven percent had no opinion.
But the survey also showed that 50 percent of Americans believe the federal government has a responsibility to make sure everyone has health coverage, compared with 46 percent who do not.
I am not sure where this poll was conducted. Half of all respondents think it is the government's responsibility to provide health coverage??? In a pure and non manipulated republic, a republic with a level playing field, health insurance would be competitively available to everyone. The government, by inserting itself into areas it does not belong, has forever ruined that playing field. So much so, that now people believe that government is the answer. Soon they will be asking government for boob jobs.
This is a government that thinks it exists to provide housing (FHA) and education. (Sallie Mae)
It reminds one of the rise of any communist state in history. No wonder we get guys like Obama.

Imagine the consummate dark horse. A real live patriot with a philosophy as near as humanly possible to the founding fathers. What would he or she look like?
Well he might be kind of short and ugly. A doctor. Married forever, scandal free. He would have the most transparent and predictable voting record of all members of Congress. He would not take paychecks and he does not trade stocks on insider info. He doesn't need to. He owns gold. He shows great courage and never bends from his convictions. The left would hate him because he believes in empowering people rather than handing them free money. The right would hate him because big business and the elite are run by banking interests driven by the FED. Paul would eliminate their ability to skim the wealth of this country. The media would hate him because media is owned by 7 giant corporate megaliths. He would never get any press, he would be stuck on the edge of any debate with no screen time.
"The Powers That Be" hate Ron Paul. Because Ron Paul would expose them. We might even have a rule of law again in this country.
Anytime you read a derogatory "MainStream Media" piece know this. The media is compromised of a cabal of elite owners and corporate interests. The media has no interest in supporting Paul and that's why they don't. Don't believe their non credible spin. They take every cheap shot they can at Paul while hiding the criminality of Obama or the statist tendencies of a guy like Romney. A white Obama.
Millions and millions of us know Ron Paul is a patriot and an American. He is a known commodity. Look at his voting record. He supports WE THE PEOPLE. And that's all you really need to know. Apparently a number of Iowans are figuring this out.

Please Let Me Know When The Weird Shit Happens
How many times can Congress re-invent ways to avoid doing it's job? With the imminent and pending failure of that ridiculous "super committee" will the super committee and congressional leaders devise another method of pushing debt resolution past the 2012 elections? http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/can-anyone-here-make-a-deal/2011/11/14/gIQAVbAJLN_story.html
Check out the debt clock. Look at the third entry. I owe 133,000 dollars. So do you. Say hello to 15 trillion! http://www.usdebtclock.org/
The super committee has no win. It never did. It cannot cure the debt problem, the minimum cuts are essentially insignificant, raising taxes on the rich is a waste of time. The rich are far too concentrated and polarized. There are only about 300,000 liquid multi-millionaires and billionaires. They have all of the dough. So cutting spending is the only real alternative. Are they hoping that the millions and millions of people like me are going to bail us out?
My share of this debt is 133,000. I have not received one food stamp, one dollar in unemployment or any other government handout.
I am the new canary in the coalmine. You see, I can't pay 133,000 dollars. I can't even pay the 4000 dollars in interest per year that it will take to service the US treasury holders on my share of this debt. Without paying one thin dime in principal, 4000 dollars a year represents 350 dollars per month (NET after taxes) that I don't have. And gawd help us if interest rates rise significantly off of these cellar dwelling levels.
I can't even pay my taxes this year while the FED inflates away my fixed purchasing power. Inflation, the hidden tax.
What I am saying is this. We are overwhelmed. The United States Government and the IRS better get the debtor prisons ready because the canaries can't pay. They are going to need more money to finance more prisons and staff. The US government has literally bankrupted the tax payers of this country and then told them they cannot declare bankruptcy on a debt which individually- they did not incur. You would think there has to be sever ability here. How can the government pledge my work product as collateral- seemingly without limits?
The criminal class (Congress) writes the checks and charges without restraint and enjoys the proceeds of it's purchases thanks to the unlimited credit lines of the FED. It then sends the bill to the victims. If the victims cannot pay, the criminals punish the victims. It's like letting the rapists beat their victims. Are you beginning to see the utter insanity of this? Boy I sure do- although the bars on my bird cage tend to obstruct my view a little.
Please be sure and let me know when the weird shit happens.

It's Official, Supreme Court To Decide Whether We Are a Free Republic or a Communist State Sometime This Spring
The Supreme Court has announced they will hear arguments for Obamacare in March. This is the piece of legislation that politicians did not read because they were busy drinking wine and doing insider stock deals. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-57324120/supreme-court-to-decide-on-health-care-overhaul/?tag=breakingnews
C'mon. Am I the only one who enjoyed watching Nancy Pelosi's quivering lips when 60 Minutes asked her to explain how she got access and purchased VISA IPO shares in some amount between 1 and 5 million and raked in a couple of mill in profits? http://biggovernment.com/whall/2011/11/13/revealed-pelosi-blocked-credit-card-reform-while-investing-millions-in-exclusive-visa-stock-offering/
Pelosi "love" all over my dashboard this a.m. http://www.leftcoastrebel.com/2011/11/maximus-hypocritus-nancy-pelosi.html
Down here on the ground, let me explain what Obamacare has done for me. It has caused health care premiums to absolutely soar and stolen another 100 bucks a month from folks like me- I can't opt in or out of Obamacare because it currently does not exist. All that exists are skyrocketing premiums and a government that thinks it can now force us to buy whatever they deem necessary. Make no mistake about this. Obamacare is a life altering event and a watershed moment. It is a disaster whether it passes or gets thrown out.
I just wish they'd shut the fuck up with all of the saber rattling and make a decision- but I guess we will have to wait another six months to start planning our lives.

Is Ron Paul Too Good To Win? The Best Thing That Ever Happened to the Democrats is the GOP and Their Supporters
Maybe the best read I have seen all year on why Ron Paul can't win. Yea, what he said. http://news.yahoo.com/why-ron-paul-not-republican-nomination-224614323.html;_ylt=AmfIrbYu1rdL8NjBQBYlCjqr9HQA;_ylu=X3oDMTRvN2RxaGVmBGNjb2RlA2dtcHRvcDEwMDBwb29sd2lraXVwcmVzdARtaXQDTmV3cyBmb3IgeW91BHBrZwNiODU5ZGE5My01NjFlLTNmNDAtOGRjZC0wNDc0YWQyZjA2MTEEcG9zAzYEc2VjA25ld3NfZm9yX3lvdQR2ZXIDZDc4ZWQ4OTAtMGU0OS0xMWUxLTkzNmQtYWE4MjI2Mjk4NDJi;_ylg=X3oDMTMwcTRoMnFjBGludGwDdXMEbGFuZwNlbi11cwRwc3RhaWQDNDFiNjQyNzItMGVjNS0zY2NjLTg3NmMtZTA5NzFlMGNiM2FiBHBzdGNhdANlbnRlcnRhaW5tZW50BHB0A3N0b3J5cGFnZQ--;_ylv=3
Ya know what? As I look at the GOP lineup, I think all Paul may have to do is outlast them. They all suck. Just stick around and watch the nominees fade away. The best thing that ever happened to the Democrats may be the GOP.

Clint Eastwood, My Hero
I used to see Clint jogging in N. Moonbat Valley. He has always been my hero. I should have never watched "Gran Torino" because I have this fantasy that I am that guy in my nutso neighborhood.
At any rate, here's a fascinating story about Eastwood. Social libertarian. I agree with everything he says. May you live forever Clint. http://news.yahoo.com/clint-eastwood-doesnt-care-politics-212849042.html

Another Obama Scandal
This one cost us 3 billion. That is 6 times greater than Solyndra. It's frustrating to see our "leaders" launder tax money that comes back to them in the form of campaign contributions. For those that can't get enough of the criminal in the white house, here's another slice. http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2011/11/move_over_solyndra_here_comes_siga.html

Obama Adminstration: Vaccine for Ethical Blindness Gets $433 Million No-Bid Contract
—rdbrewer
Vaccine for ethical blindness? I'm sorry. I meant experimental remedy for non-existent threat. Smallpox. But it's okay; it's a big Obama donor. From the LA Times:Senior officials have taken unusual steps to secure the contract for New York-based Siga Technologies Inc., whose controlling shareholder is billionaire Ronald O. Perelman, one of the world's richest men and a longtime Democratic Party donor. When Siga complained that contracting specialists at the Department of Health and Human Services were resisting the company's financial demands, senior officials replaced the government's lead negotiator for the deal, interviews and documents show.Too bad. An ethical blindness vaccine might help Democrats, the media, and OWS protestors see the crony-capitalism on display here.
When Siga was in danger of losing its grip on the contract a year ago, the officials blocked other firms from competing.
