Several months ago, I bookmarked the single best essay I have ever read on the Fed, the 2008 meltdown, and how the New York Times provided cover by issuing some of the most effective propaganda ever delivered. This piece is simply the most logical piece that I have ever read on the subject. When you stop and think about it, the New York Times, Wall Street, and the Federal Reserve all sleep in the same bed. That's how propaganda begins. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-01/greatest-propaganda-coup-our-time
I snatched this from the comments. Dare I say it's prima facia true?
Hitler pointed out in 1923 that there are three main types of people in society.
The first-type is by far the largest group, those who are dull enough
and credulous enough to believe everything they are told without
resistance.
The second-type is a significant minority who believe most things up
to a point, but are smart enough to detect poorly concealed lies, but
then end up believing almost nothing once they detect that they are
being deliberately lied to by the State and media, so often become
radicalized and the State struggles to manage and control this type.
The third-type is a tiny minority who believe nothing at all, they
examine everything each time, take nothing at all for granted, and are
difficult to fool for long.
Hitler identified that only the first type mattered politically, in a
democracy, and that all propaganda should be directed towards them. The
second group could be suppressed and maybe coerced into compliance, or
imprisoned, etc. The third type were very valuable, but dangerous, and
if they would not cooperate it was best to be rid of them.

Welcome to the third group of people, Brian. Please step this way. What's that you say? No no. I assure you that the smell of gas is quite normal....
I agree, Brian. Whitney's article is the best take down of the Fed on the financial crisis I've seen. Sadly, only a small percentage of Americans are interested in knowing the truth. The Fed knows that and that is why they will continue to get away with their criminal enterprise.
Just keep the government cheese and disability goodie train a rolling and it's all good.
One thing I'll never ever understand, being a low life pee-on and all, is why in the world do you need to have all the money-even fairy dust trillions? I have no problem with accumulating wealth but, and man I hate to channel Obama, isn't enough enough at some fucking point? How in hell does adding another $10B to your $50B portfolio using underhanded methods make any damn difference in your life? I don't get it.

"Hitler will emerge from the hatred that surrounds him now as one of the most significant figures who ever lived...
He had a mystery about him in the way that he lived and in the manner of his death that will live and grow after him. He had in him the stuff of which legends are made." -John F. Kennedy, President of the United States of America
After studying every President in my lifetime, I often remark that JFK was actually the last President who cared for the American working class, wanted no part of Vietnam, and offered a little hope. Killing Kennedy might have been the worst thing that ever happened to the middle class in this country. I believe that.
