The Solution To Our National Problem...Quit Paying Taxes

I want to have a serious discussion about refusing to pay taxes and why that is the only solution that makes sense in our national economic malaise. Refusing to pay taxes is the only real way we can put an end to an irresponsible political class who absolutely refuse to stop bleeding us, borrowing and inflating our debt, and paying off their crony banker friends and the welfare class. An overview of the problem is in order here.

Each year, we borrow nearly 40% of what we spend. Our nation is bankrupt. We owe 16.2 trillion that we can never pay- a sum that your government will not stop trying to take from you. It has to increase. They will continue this madness until you do something about it. The largesse gathering welfare class now make more money not working than the working class does working. About three years ago, I was listening to a You Tube video of Craig T Nelson talking on Glenn Beck's TV show that he was considering not paying Federal taxes. I was absolutely shocked. Why? Because here was a man on national TV supporting a felony, tax evasion. And yet- it makes sense.

You cannot vote these bastards out of office for two reasons. First of all, the largesse gatherers and the idiot voting class will continue to over power the working class. We are out numbered and out voted.

Secondly, you cannot distinguish the good guys from the bad guys. Because at this time in our nation's history, the political class refuse to do the right thing and make the appropriate cuts. They are all bad guys. If they had any political will or courage- they would end this. But they do not. They are elite thieves. And the game is nearly over.

The only viable solution- the solution that each of us can do on our own is to starve the beast. That's right. Quit paying Federal income taxes. If you had a daughter ringing up a 100k dollar charge on your Visa every month that you could not pay- would you let her keep the Visa? Of course not. You would cut it up. Why then, do you continue to pay taxes to a government that spends 1.5 trillion more than they take in every year- year after year? A government that refuses to do a budget?

Because we are a nation of cowards. We are afraid. We are governed by a nation of bullies. They will threaten to put you in prison. They operate exactly like the mob. Pay their protection costs (taxes) do not question them or suffer the consequences.

Not paying Federal taxes is the only solution to our national problem. I know it sounds nuts. It is the only plan that you have control over, where you can make a difference. You will move from the bitching class to the action class. Can they throw millions of us in prison? Nope. The truth is, they can't even afford to run the prisons that they have- not that budgetary problems have ever been a big concern of our government.

Please consider what I have said. I will leave you with a You Tube video of Craig Nelson. The young kids who are broadcasting this and introducing the piece- call Nelson nuts. Of course they do. That is what normal people think when discussing tax evasion. However extraordinary times- require extraordinary solutions. That's how bad this has gotten. These kids don't want to emotionally grapple with the possibility that Nelson has the only solution. Which he does.

So what will not paying taxes accomplish? It will bring our government to it's knees. It will not be able to pay it's bills. Our pathetic leadership will know we are dead serious. Serious enough to risk prison. That's political courage. You must be the change you want to see in the world. The subtitle to this blog. Think about that.

Today I read an interesting CNN Money report about Warren Buffett. Warren was doing his usual diarrhea of the mouth routine now that he is an expert on everything. I am not sure why Buffett irritates me so...well that's not true...actually I do know.

He thinks that his money gives him the credibility to say anything he wants and that people will listen. That everything he says just has to be right. Let me explain a weird concept I have. Perhaps you have considered it yourself.

Destiny. In any given capitalistic society, or at least one that starts out that way, there will be winners and losers. Rich people and poor people. That is destined to happen. So I don't see Warren as some special man with insightful powers. I see a guy who made some good investment decisions and made gobs of money for himself. Warren or somebody else with a different name had to happen. That's it. That's destiny. It's like winning the lottery. It's going to happen but nobody knows who it will be. But it will be somebody. The great thing about lottery winners is that at least they don't go running their mouths about how smart they are.

In fact, we all know that the winner is an idiot for buying the ticket in the first place.

The computer was going to be invented. Someone would do that. We now know who those "someones" are. That's destiny. If not them- then someone else.

Warren kind of represents the Jurassic era of investing. He just happened to be walking rare earth with the right investing model at the right time.

Let me explain this further. If Warren's brief life had started in 1990 rather than 1930- I believe that history would not even record his name. Why? Because the absolute perfect growing conditions no longer exist in that investing petri dish which Warren did so well in... Warren exists because he was born at the perfect time. That's it. An ungrateful old dinosaur who does not understand that the world created him- that he didn't create himself. Humility for Warren is simply some word mentioned in Greek mythology.

I believe in destiny. That certain things are just destined to happen. Like lottery winners. Someone is destined to win.

The Federal Reserve has single handedly rescued the stock market. It's a sick market. We haven't had any kind of consumer lead rebound or rally. There is nothing holding this market up except a bunch of banks buying equities lead by the Federal ~~printing press~~ Reserve who is more than willing to try every trick imaginable. It's a market that trades up not because we as a nation are fundamentally improving and on the mend- but because a bunch of politicians, corporations, and bankers are manipulating it higher. Willing to lie and spin any number- anything but the truth. That is the illusion.

We are at the end game. Warren wants to live the rest of his life believing that he alone knows what everyone else should be doing. His billions are dwarfed only by his ego. He is one of the protectors of the illusion. The illusion that you can steal money from everyone else without producing anything. Everyone can get rich by stealing the work product of others. Contributing nothing yourself. Sooner or later that game has to end. It is not mathematically possible for all of us to steal the wealth of the people who produce things. We cannot all be billionaires.

Wealth without work. Like my friend Billy Moonbat says, "We are all trying to make the maximum amount of money with the least amount of work." That is the goal- the illusion of all of us.

Guys like Warren won't go away easily. We don't have the means to accommodate many more of them. Strangely, I see that as a good thing.

Halftime In America Is A Dream, You Have To Be Asleep To Believe It

I love Clint Eastwood. Back in my heyday, I used to see him running in the mornings around Moonbat Valley. Those were the Sondra Locke days. Wow. She is forgettable.

I absolutely loved Gran Torino. In my neighborhood, I fantasize that I am that guy. Only I don't like Muslims and honor killers. Sorry, Mohammad worshippers.

So when my hero ran that really cool cheer leading ad during the Superbowl, I wasn't especially surprised. You get this feeling that Eastwood is just as tough as his raspy voice and he probably is.

It's a misconception perpetuated by celebrities and the hoi polloi that our economy is going to come roaring back. It is complete and utter bullshit. It is absolutely mathematically impossible. If you never read one more thing on this blog- please know this. You cannot grow an economy with a crumbling tax base, the loss of 15 million structural jobs, jobs that pay nothing, a greedy banking and corporate world, and an administration with no plan beyond what iron to hit off the tee.

I have never in my life witnessed such an abject failure of leadership. President Obama is the epitome of an ass. We could not have elected a worse person.

So just what makes Eastwood think we're going to turn this around? Clint, bless his heart, is an actor. He engages in fantasy. That's what he does for a living. In the real world, it takes people with personal courage who will be castigated for standing up.

Perhaps Clint has some secret plan that pays that 16.4 trillion debt, that pays for the 80 trillion coming due and payable in the next 20 years in medicare and social security. Some cost free way to fight two or three wars at the same time, bring back 50 dollar oil, and provide free health care for 300 million people. Some plan to get back those 15 million lost jobs, return American businesses to the United States, restructure the entire tax code against the wishes of the elite who enjoy it just the way it is, and remove Obama and that socialist Supreme Court from our midst.

Yea Clint, solve that shit. Come up with a plan. Then I will listen to the cheer leading.

The Insanity of Our Judicial System

I am going to break my profanity vow. Well, the abbreviated version anyway. To this story, I say
W. T. F.??

I don't like lawyers. In fact, I've learned to dislike them. As a group of individuals, and I am comfortable with this stereotype, I have never found a more arrogant and ego centered class of people. Of course there are exceptions, and I know a few, but they are rare.

At any rate... this is a story of outlandish cop behavior, followed up by outlandish lawyer behavior, and capped off with a jury award of 22 million.

Here's the deal. Some guy gets tossed into jail and forgotten. How? I have no idea. But he is forgotten for TWO YEARS???

So they have a trial. The man involved gets awarded 22 million dollars. I don't mind giving a damaged man a million or two- although some might argue that's excessive. Let me put it to you this way. Most of us would gladly sit in jail for two years for a million bucks.

The problem with not capping awards is this. Lawyers work on contingencies. They often take half the jury award for themselves plus expenses. All of that money comes from somewhere. That somewhere is generally a tax payer funded insurance system. In other words, tax payers very often line the pockets of attorneys who do nothing more than a little research and talk for a few days.

The court system is more than happy to steal taxpayer money and award it to themselves. That's why we need court reform- desperately. This out of control behavior and broken system has been allowed to continue unchecked- for decades. Almost half of the Congress are lawyers. Your President is a lawyer. The Supreme Court are all lawyers. It never changes.

Go figure.

I never like it when two east coast teams get in. Being a western boy means I don't really have a lot to root for here. Here's how I analyze the big tilt.

I have always maintained that the team with the best defense has a huge edge in the Superbowl. That nod goes to the Giants.

The Giants beat New England in the regular season.

Looking at schedule strength which was very similar- I think the Patriots had a tougher schedule and played a little better. This is debatable. But I give the edge to the Pats because they did not lose to any crappy teams which the Giants did.

One could argue that the Pats shouldn't even be here albeit for a missed field goal. I could say the same thing about the Giants and those two fumbles of San Francisco's.

All my friends'... the smart money says- it's the Giants.

I think they are wrong. I'll tell you why. Tom Brady is a determined on field general. Belly check may be the best coach I have ever seen. They make their rival coach and QB look like pikers. They prepare better and they are veterans. There is also one other thing I like. Revenge. The Patriots had their perfect season snuffed out a few years ago by the Giants.

It's payback time. Take the Pats and give the 3 points. I am staying away from the over/under but I lean over 53. Who can argue with Joe Namath?

Bureau of Labor Statistics Releases Latest Fib, Facebook Insiders and Fat Cats Getting Fatter

This morning the BLS reported it's gerrymandered numbers but failed to mention that a WHOPPING 1.2 million people dropped out of the labor force. An all time high for ONE month.

Ignoring the 5 million people who have quit looking for jobs allows the BLS to state that the unemployment rate has dropped to 8.3%. Gold in a big sell off because happy days are here! Simply stated, if you have run out of unemployment benefits, or never qualified for them to begin with, you are simply not counted. Therefore, the higher the number of uncounted people is- the lower the drop in unemployment.

Facebook. About a year ago, I lost my mind and finally posted a profile on Facebook. I have mixed emotions. It's kind of interesting to see old friends on there. I use it to search for people who are in the news. Really. Very often, they restrict their information to the extent that you cannot even contact them. So what's the point?

Well as it turns out, with a completely chicken shit and paranoid population, I find Facebook to be of minimal networking value.

To sum up my Facebook experience? A constant stream of superficial fluff probably not worthy of my time to begin with. I can truly say that FB has not enhanced my life one bit. I could have lived just fine without it. However, it appears that my participation in FB is about to enhance Mark Zuckerberg's wealth. Facebook is about to be taken public in what is most likely the biggest initial public stock offering of all time. The shares will be offered to the wealthy and elite via their brokers- who will then flip them for a nice profit. By the time the hoi polloi (those people that are actually on FB) get access to shares in the open market- they will be so overpriced that they will offer little or no value at all. Fully priced and distributed to ~~suckers~~ weak hands.

How do I feel about Zuckerberg selling my profile to advertisers? Look, everything I've read about that kid puts him in the sociopath capitalist class. Including the movie. I should have known better.

Why Negative Interest Rates Will Send The Precious Metals Complex Straight Up

There has been a tug of war since 2008.

The bankers and the government have done everything universally possible to create the illusion of a banking world that is solvent. They have also rescued the stock market- truly making it the investment of last resort.

If the stock market fails- America fails. I am not kidding, it is that serious. If the banking world gets exposed then all bets are off.

Often, I will read the anti-gold class state something like gold "does not pay a dividend." The implication is that the stock market and the bond market offer better returns. Is this true?

The answer is no given a negative interest rate environment like the one we have now. A negative interest rate environment occurs when inflation is outstripping yield or dividend returns. It works like this. Suppose you can make 3% yield on treasuries or a 4% dividend in equities. That rate of return looks ok when it is stacked up against a 1% inflation rate. You are still getting "plus money." However, if the real inflation rate is closer to 11% rather than the government rigged numbers supplied by the BLS each month, you are now receiving a negative return of -7 or -8%. The following chart is courtesy of shadowstats- something you can trust because the government does not generate it. Note the huge divergence between their numbers and the BLS numbers.

Therefore- you are guaranteed a loss not to mention that your capital is at risk of loss, default, or conversion. Only a math challenged sucker would invest there. Let the buyer beware. Remember MF Global.

Negative interest rates become the perfect environment for gold or silver to thrive in. You are guaranteed two things. Your investment in gold, silver, or platinum has an inverse relationship to negative returns. You may not get paid dividends but you preserve buying power- you lose nothing. Precious metals match or outstrip inflation. You do not have your capital at risk. There is no way for the government or bankers to counterfeit precious metals or steal them from you as long as you own and POSSESS the physical metal. By possess, I do not mean in a bank where Congress can pass a bill overnight and seize every safe deposit box like they did in 1933. In fact, that seizure violated the Fourth Amendment which has always caused me to scratch my head. (Why didn't the entire world sue the government?) Fiat promoters hate precious metals. Precious metals are a fiat currency put. A short. Plain and simple.

Can the government tax the hell out of gold and silver or confiscate it? Sure. But by that time, anarchy will be here in full force and nobody is gonna want worthless currency. Other than food, ammo, and water- precious meals make the most sense. From now until then. Whenever then is.

There is no Deus Ex Machina ending. There is no miracle cure. All debts are paid. Either by the debtor or by the lender. That includes that 16.4 trillion they just rung up.

If I had to pick a side- and we all do- I land on precious metals. Ultimately, PM's will win the tug of war in a world filled with deceit and fraudulent numbers. At some point, the truth will escape and once that Genie is out of the bottle...I'm not sure sellers of precious metals will even take currency.

Yesterday I did a piece on the ~~destruction of the United States~~ debt Titanic. The ship where every tax payer has a seat.

I had to read that story three times. Why? Because it just smacks so true. It makes sense. If you look at the history of the CBO's "optimistic" projections (chart) you'll find a decade of deceit or at the very least, consistently minimized deficits. Is that coincidence?

It's pretty difficult for me to escape the fact that the CBO appears to be nothing more than one more propaganda tool for Wall Street and our paid for politicians. There was a time when I thought that the CBO was an independent agency and tried to put out credible numbers. But like all things government, it appears that any integrity this office once had has now been compromised. Like somehow that is an isolated incident and the Bureau of Labor Statistics is credible.

Conspiracy? Yes of course it's a conspiracy. It's a conspiracy with one common goal shared by thousands of influential policy makers, politicians, crony capitalists, and government employees. Deceive the American people for as long as humanly possible and receive a continuation of fat paychecks for doing so. What happens when you tell the truth? Well just ask the formerly employed, Ms. Pham, who is now suing the CBO.

Every once in awhile, I receive a great comment like I did in the "Media Baffled" piece. This is an interesting and intelligent comment. Not because it attempts to stroke my ego while claiming vastly superior intellectual high ground; but because it is a passive aggressive statement by a writer who has claimed some virtual lofty perch from which he gazes down at emotional midgets like myself.

Know this. I get it. The only way our society has a chance of educating ourselves- of communicating vital and truthful information- is by this medium. There is no other means available to us. I accept that there will always be some folks who will state an opinion contrary to that and that's ok. It hasn't slowed me down yet.

The stupid tax.

I admit, I have played Powerball but only when the jackpot exceeds 80 million. Somehow that allows my ego and conscience enough dignity to play.

The reality is- is that these types of lotteries are absolutely the worst gamble on the planet. It amounts to little more than surrendering your hard earned money. The only sure winner is the states' and the Federal government who without ever so much as purchasing one measly ticket- manage to steal half of every lottery winner's treasure.

Small wonder that gambling and lotteries were illegal up to the point that government saw an opportunity to steal even more money from the citizenry. Suddenly, that horrible vice of gambling became palatable and acceptable to governments everywhere. They love the lottery.

So last Saturday night, with the jackpot cracking 100 million, I bought a five dollar quick pick which in fact became a ten dollar quick pick- the cashier informed me. It seems that the Powerball people, not satisfied with simply stealing everyone's money, decided to double down and steal twice as much.

When you offer such a good deal at odds of 100 million to one- apparently this gives you pricing power and marketability. Fantasy and hope sells.

I opted out of the cigarette tax last year. This year I am opting out of the stupid tax.

Maybe The Media Is Just As Baffled As The Rest Of Us

It's absolutely fascinating- the quality of crap written by the mainstream media. Sometimes, I honestly don't think corporate writers have a brain in their head. Or at the very least, writers may simply be gullible since they are mostly statists and government worshippers to begin with. Quite often it appears that writers simply do not attempt to fact check anything our government excretes or at the very least- cite which massaging agency is the source of the numbers they are using. They simply accept some BS number from some undisclosed agency and write a story.

Remember, this is the government which delivers the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports each month. Some of the most superb science fiction since Jules Verne and Kurt Vonnegut first put ink on paper.

Now here's a first paragraph snippet from Andrew Taylor of the Associated Press in a different story on the very same day. WASHINGTON (AP) — A new budget report released Tuesday predicts the U.S. government will run a $1.1 trillion deficit in the fiscal year that ends in September, a slight dip from last year but still very high by any measure.

So I scratched my head because a 444 billion loan translates into something more like a 1.8 trillion dollar annual deficit if extrapolated out.

Yet here is the AP piece telling us that this year's deficit for 2012 (I am assuming this is a Congressional Budget Office sourced article although most bloggers do a better job of quoting sources than Taylor does) is only going to be 1.1 trillion.

So which ~~story~~ numbers are bullshit? Hey wait! Didn't the government borrow money in the first quarter of the 2012 budget? How much was that? Well I'm glad you asked. So the gov borrowed 322 billion. Ok, let's see here. A paltry 322 billion + a slightly less paltry 444 billion this quarter equals 766 billion borrowed so far for the 2012 budget year. So the truth lies somewhere in between the extrapolated 1.8 trillion and Taylor's 1.1 trillion but it certainly appears that the deficit cannot be either of those two numbers.

Taylor will be correct if in fact the government- quite suddenly- only borrows 167 billion in each of the two remaining quarters of 2012. Or if bond yields stay low.

So people are confused by big numbers. They don't stop to think that a trillion is a thousand billion. Most folks probably think that a trillion is about how much Mitt Romney paid for one of his castles and a Range Rover. Or more accurately- they simply don't give a shit. When I see an article claiming that this year's 1.1 trillion dollar deficit is less than last year's- I get miffed. Not only is it presented like it is good news- it is patent bullshit. You can't even get to the truth because writers don't cite specific sources and gawd knows Washington has about five different agencies spewing ~~propaganda~~ wildly differing numbers and projections. Then you have to try and figure out if borrowing is somehow offset by revenue or whether figures are actual or projected.

You know what? Maybe I'm too hard on writers like Taylor. Maybe he is just as confused as the rest of us. I think the government likes it that way. They'd probably hire Verne or Vonnegut and call them technical writers.

Day after day, week after week, month after miserable month...it's the European Debt Crisis. It simply won't go away and the people involved with trying to save the euro simply cannot accept that killing the euro and putting it out of it's misery is the only thing that makes any kind of sense.

Sometimes experiments just don't go well. Thomas Edison knew that. Thomas, like all great inventors, quit trying to force the things that did not work into working. Ultimately he tried new things until he either found something that worked- or he simply accepted that nothing would work. The problem went unsolved.

The Europeans don't think like that. They keep trying to make something that doesn't work- work. And of course, like some macabre play- it just keeps getting worse and worse. It would be isolated and infinitely more comical if the implications for the U.S. weren't so dire.

People just don't realize it's one giant worldwide central banking scheme- and it's insolvent. Most people that is. There are those of us who do know that the greatest Ponzi scheme ever invented is almost over and we are busy hoarding precious metals and other essentials. Being called kooks.

Here is my Deus Ex Machina solution for Europe. It goes like this. You are tucking in your child, 20 years from now. He has asked for a bedtime story. You are in a pissy mood so you grab a children's book and read him this.

Once upon a time, there were a bunch of different countries that used a bunch of different currencies. They thought it would be a swell idea to all use the same currency. Unfortunately, all of the countries had different cultures, different values, different governments, different economies, and different politicians. Many of the countries had serious debt concerns that they lied about and then later asked other countries to bail them out or they would be forced to abandon their shared currency. The countries with money starting demanding that the insolvent countries start living differently or they weren't getting any money. The broke countries told the rich countries to go pound sand.

Think about what happens when you loan relatives money and tell them what to do.

This went on week after week, month after month, and year after year and then one day...the people of each of the bankrupt and insolvent countries found one thousand metric tons of gold on pallets which had been delivered to each of their capitol cities. Attached to the gold was a note from God. It said, "I am tired of you ding a lings trying to save this stupid currency. Every prayer, day after day, week after week, month after month. How much do you expect me to take? So here's some left over gold I had laying around. Please sell it to China and India. Save your stupid currency. I am running out of patience." Your truly, God.

And they all lived happily ever after.

The Next Great American Exodus

In 2007, just as I was wrapping up my career in law enforcement, the health care crisis was in full bloom and I believed that it would be far worse than anyone imagined. People could no longer afford health insurance. Costs had become ridiculous. Healthy people who had lost jobs would not come back to health insurance pools unless they landed jobs with health care. Employers would no longer furnish health care nor subsidize it. Insurance premiums would skyrocket, sometimes in excess of 50% price hikes per year. Ultimately and quite possibly, there may come a day when only the affluent can afford health care. So bankruptcy was the middle and poorer class solution to insurance. That exodus is in full swing.

People have to cut out the things that they cannot afford. Taxes are next.

The next great exodus is happening now. The dictionary defines exodus as a departure of a large number of people. People are going to quit paying taxes in droves. I believe that. The rich and elite have been sending their money offshore for decades. Eons it seems. But since the elite essentially run and control government- like Congress- off shore bank accounts were largely ignored. The issue gets brought up every now and then- only because it brings in a few votes and it is politically expedient. Our government is not really serious about imprisoning the elite class for tax evasion. That is the same elite class who write campaign checks and give the politician kids' really nice jobs.

So the rich have been screwing the I.R.S. for years and getting away with it. They can buy good lawyers- if in fact they aren't lawyers themselves. The middle class and the poor are different. They are not greedy money hoarders. They simply don't have any money to hoard. They evade taxes because they have to- not because they want to.

This distinguishes our two classes. Nobody likes a thief- but society tends to tolerate a thief who steals to feed his family. Thieves who steal even though they already have plenty- do not merit the same brand of sympathy or tolerance. That's why the rich become such easy targets especially during campaign season. But I'll let you in on a little secret here- it's all bullshit. If Congress were really serious about reining in wealthy tax cheats- like themselves- they could pass a couple of laws and attach a mandatory 15 year prison sentence.

So tell me, if corporate America and companies like GE aren't paying taxes, if the rich and elite aren't paying taxes, and the middle and lower classes can't afford to- just who in the hell is going to pay that 16.2 trillion debt we have rung up? Answer- it's not going to happen. They can't even shore up the tax laws enough or in time- in the event of some economic rebound that would generate tax revenue and miraculously land us in the black. Some Deus Ex Machina ending. So it is, the next great exodus has begun. This at precisely the same moment when local, state, and federal governments try to steal more money from citizens. I sure hope the government has plenty of room and resources to prosecute and house the millions of ~~people~~ tax cheats who simply can't pay anymore. Perhaps they will start with those who won't pay. I hear they have health care in prison, so we've got that going for us.

Yesterday, I watched Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke very closely as he spoke about the economy on CNBC. I noted two incredibly odd things.

Bernanke essentially promised zero interest rates and further money printing, possibly a QE3 event, if the economy goes any softer than it already is. Basically, he soothed viewers. Whether that was entirely politically motivated or not- is anyone's guess. But that's not the really odd thing.

Bernanke appeared to stutter throughout the speech as though- even he didn't believe the BS he was spouting.

The number one fear of most Americans is public speaking. For many people, public speaking is just something that gets easier over time. Professional speakers sharpen deliveries. Perhaps Bernanke didn't like the live stage or live TV yesterday. Maybe he is getting weary of the criticism. Whatever it was- it did not appear that Bernanke was getting more comfortable the longer he spoke- I thought that was very odd. Bernanke just kind of stuttered and stopped throughout the speech. His sentences lacked smooth transitions although I thought his statements were remarkably clear for a front man who has a giant ego and a perfect SAT score. Bernanke promised more FED accommodation for the foreseeable future. Zero interest rates.

I thought gold should have rallied 100 dollars.

Today I was reading this article. The writer has a bachelor's degree in psychology although he has been writing for various money/investing/economic publications for at least 10 or 11 years. After Two Years of Screwing Off, It's Time To Go To Work

I "retired" in 2007 which is to say, I spend a great deal of time screwing off and performing service work. Service work, whether it's in homeless shelters or halfway houses or in various other places, doesn't pay a hell of a lot. Mostly you do it for free.

It's a labor of love. Retired cop work. Go figure. It's been about two years since I worked in a pre-release center for kids coming out of the state correctional system.

The worst part about applying for a job can occur when somebody actually gives you a job. This means that they are actually going to expect me to show up on time and achieve some measurable results. This is a lot of responsibility to heap on a guy all at once. Tonight...

I have a hockey game ticket thanks to my friend Keith. Keith sings the anthem. The Steelheads are playing Stockton tonight. We always have lots of fights with Stockton. I am looking forward to ~~fighting~~ hockey tonight. Then it's on to the new job and graveyard shift at 11 PM.

When the gal who hired me asked if I wanted to know the salary, I told her, "I'm not sure I care."

She thought that was funny. Probably had something to do with me getting the job. So we'll see how the new job goes. I think I am really going to like it but it will slow my writing down a lot. So we have that going for us.

The New Frankenstein Government Sunday Special Edition

Yesterday, I was at Home Despot buying a giant board for a garage repair. After getting it cut, I was headed for the checkout line. Arriving at approximately the same time but a step or two slower, was a woman in her mid forties. She pretended not to see me and of course, she steered her shopping cart with ten items directly in front of me. The board I was holding was a huge chunk of particle board which weighed about the same as a Volkswagon Jetta with air conditioning. Most people notice giant men with giant things in their hands. That ability has allowed me to claim age 51.

Ya know, I did have a female pedestrian get hit by a bus once. I asked her why she hadn't seen the bus. This pissed her off badly. Come to think of it, she may have a daughter that shops at Home Despot.

I had a strange thought strike me as I sought out a new check out line. Every time I seem to be cut off in a check out line, why does it always seem to be by women, some of which- pretend to be blind? How come I am never cut off by a man? Really, think about that.

I concluded that women think they are entitled to cut off men because society, usually men, allow women to do everything first. We hold doors for women, allow them to order first, we fix things and let them board the life rafts first. I am ok with all of that.

However, some women like the Home Despot gal, think they are entitled to then act like prima donnas. That was my conclusion, erroneous as it may be.

Normally, I keep such observations and thoughts to myself. But fortunately, here at Frankenstein Government, I am not afraid to tackle the tough issues.

Especially since this story has a happy ending.

I carried the Jetta over to a neighboring line. The guy ahead of me was kind of disorganized and realized he had forgotten something as he was checking out. Unlike our female friend, he had complete use of his vision and saw that I was holding something larger than he. He invited me to go ahead of him. This was a man who was aware of his surroundings.

I have learned to say, "thank you" and I muster up a smile when such oddities happen. This little piece of divine providence catapulted me out of the store in record time because I pay with cash. Because of this good fortune, I decided to do something a little nasty on the spur of the moment. As I walked past the blind woman's line, I looked directly at her and winked. She mustered up her finest glare. I mustered up a smile.

I concluded that she was not blind after all. And just to let you know that I am not entirely sexist...

A couple of weeks ago, at the grocery store, I let a woman go ahead of me in the checkout line. Unlike the Home Despot gal, I had arrived in this line first. She was buying wine and nuts. I had the same kind of nuts. As it turns out, it was a buy one get the second can- 1/2 off kinda deal. My can of nuts did not have a coupon on it but hers did. She insisted on paying for my nuts to return my good deed. She called it good karma.

It was. I hope I see her at Home Despot some day.

Frankenstein Government's Weekend NFL Line*Updated

Last week, I went four for four against the spread, which is the only thing that counts. Tomorrow, I will be wagering on both NFC-AFC match ups. Legally, of course.

I don't care two shits about who wins- my goal in life has always been to turn a profit. Here then are my picks. I like to put my money where my mouth is. Ahead of time.

NY Giants at San Francisco -2.5

The Giants bounced into Lambeau Field last week and handed GB their head. I liked that. I don't like Aaron Rodgers. I'm a Favre man. At any rate, the Giants are peaking at just the right time. Throughout my sports betting history, I can think of a number of mediocre teams that catch fire at precisely the right time. They become very dangerous teams. Having said all that and watching SF play my Saints- like champions- I am betting on San Francisco and giving the points. A team that can come back twice late- is not a team I can bet against. That type of tenacity means that even if SF loses- they will be in this game to the wire. I don't think the Giants can bring that "A" game twice. Not only is SF's offense just as good as NY's if not better, so is their defense.

I am betting 110.00 on San Francisco and giving the points.

Baltimore Ravens at NE Patriots +7.5

This is an interesting game from a betting standpoint. The Pats are the perennial gatekeepers in the AFC. To get to the big game, it seems you have to get by the Pats most of the time. I love their quarterback and their coach. I see this game as a 50-50 tilt. Seven and a half points is too much. A sucker line. I am taking the points.

The money line is +250. A straight up bet on the Ravens (100.00) to win gets you +250.00.

Here then are my plays.

110.00 on SF.
110.00 on Baltimore +7.5 points
50.00 bucks on the money line, Baltimore to win.

I might even parlay those two teams.

I can't wait until tomorrow. Nasty ass weather in Boise although it's warm. A good day to lay around and watch football.

Emotions do not run my life. I am quite conscious of them and I box up and eliminate the unwanted ones.

I am no ego maniac. I am an utter idiot where other intelligences would be nice to have.

I have posted the quiz on the 9 types of intelligence before. But that's not what I'd like to write about. Rather, I'd like to discuss how you are motivated by fear. This is an absolute. There are no exceptions- I have not found one yet, including myself. How's that for bold? Onward...

First I'd like to state the obvious. There are evil and greedy people in the world. The absolute best of them wear suits and have clean images. They engage in a type of legal thievery. It is called business. They will exploit every possible way to steal money from unsuspecting people so long as it is legal or (and this is important) legally defensible. Sometimes they engage in illegal conduct when they know they will not be prosecuted (banks) by specific administrations such as the Obama-Holder regime. Perhaps they paid for that perk in advance.

So the evil and greedy people are smart. They are the wolves. They are constantly trying to find ways to legally steal from others. Or at least avoid prosecution if caught. They are well aware that the greatest single motivator of all human conduct is fear. This is the trump card.

International bankers created a series of bank failures and runs called "bank panics" in the early part of the 20th century. People could not get their money from the bank. This was widely reported in the only media type of that day- the newspaper. Bankers instilled fear in the American people.

That was done on purpose. That was always their intention. The evil and greedy banker men had a much bigger agenda. They wanted to control the currency of the United States. A few years later their wish was granted. The Federal Reserve Act was hatched on Jekyll Island by bankers and passed into law when most members of Congress were absent for Christmas in 1913. That was the day and time that your government sold you into slavery. The act was passed by telling the American people that the Federal Reserve would always make money available to them. They soothed their fears. People bought in. It has been a slow grind for sure, but the fruits of 1913 are here. Those international banker families have profited handsomely. They wear suits. They look respectable. They are not.

If you can instill fear in people- you can force them to act contrary to their interests. Fear motivates all human conduct. If you wish to challenge that statement, I will gladly debate it with you.

Armies try to instill fear in each other. In life, if you don't behave like you are told, there are consequences. The I.R.S. could not operate without fear of punishment. Hank Paulson and his cronies convinced Congress and the American people that without stealing a trillion or so from the treasury, that we would have the greatest banking collapse of all time.

This government instilled enough fear into folks that people bought in. Financial ruin!!! OMG!!! The feat was completed. The government acted contrary to your interests. It stole 1 trillion from you. You were happy to let them do it. Your fear of the unknown was used to act contrary to your interests.

You cannot manipulate a fully conscious person like myself. I understand fear. Fear causes me to do everything that I do. I have not been able to eliminate or conquer fear but what I do instead is remain fully conscious of other people and their willingness to try and exploit my fears and the fears of others. In that sense, I become unexploitable. I am not available for you to steal from. I am one of the hardest guys in the world to intimidate.

That is why I write. I understand the consequences and I do not fear them. If writing here costs me a relationship or a job, so be it. I still write. I take away the ability for others to exploit, manipulate, or direct how I act or behave- based on fear. I'd like to give you one more example of how the media and the "Powers That Be" are causing people to act contrary to their interests.

Let's use Ron Paul for a wonderful example. The "Powers That Be" those guys in suits, hate Ron Paul. Ron Paul will act in the best interests of the American people and contrary to the "Powers That Be." So what they have done, with a great degree of success, is to convince the American people that he is a kook and a racist. Anti-semite. They have discredited him. They are desperately trying to instill fear into every voting American that if you vote for this guy- we will go to hell in a handbasket. It is working. People have bought in.

They did that to Ross Perot in the 90's. Big business was scared to death of Perot. They wanted that cheap overseas labor pool. They discredited Perot every chance they could get. They instilled fear. It worked. We have lost ten million jobs and American business is sitting on trillions off shore. Tax free.

You want additional proof? Just go to Ace of Spades headquarters and read what Ace says about Paul. You'd think Paul was retarded and that the only rational judge of character on the planet- is Ace himself. They even attack Paul's home district- label them kooks for re-electing him.

So instead, America is going to buy into the manipulation and the lies- the fear- just like they always do. Some slick looking banker/crook in a suit. They are going to fall for this shit once again. They know how you will react long before you react. We lost before the game even began.

If you want to free yourself, understand the role that fear plays in your life. Respect it, understand it, evaluate it. There is a whole giant world full of carnivores more than happy to chase you off a cliff- to force you to behave contrary to your best interests. Just once in my life, I'd like to see the herd realize that they were being headed for the cliffs and certain death. I'd like to see them turn and stampede those guys in suits- just once. Trample them to death.

Before he died, George Carlin could not figure out why the American people voted for candidates that represented nobody's interests but the rich and elite. Neither can I.

The rich and elite, the status quo of this country, control the unveiling of candidates. They decide who the President is going to be because they control the nominees. That is why every election year we all trudge to the polls, pissed because we have two terrible choices. Voting for the lesser evil.

I don't mind that Romney is rich. What I do mind is that he is an elite tax dodger like the rest of his class. Romney has Cayman Island investments. The Cayman Islands is a tax dodge. Romney simply turns his money over to someone else who stuck it in the Caymans. The interpretation is leading the reader to make an assumption and conclusion. Read- it's not his fault!

That is an outright lie. Total bullshit. Professional bankers find ways to create and preserve wealth. Dodging taxes is nearly a full time occupation for them. The entire tax code was created by the wealthy and elite for the wealthy and elite. Romney's money is in the Cayman Islands because Romney wanted it there.

Mitt Romney is a fantastic example of everything that is wrong with this country. He is wealthy and elite. He represents the status quo. He is a professional banker with five mansions. Let me explain a little something here. I have quit drinking and smoking. I have all but quit gambling although I do go to the track once in awhile. I am virtually celibate. I am in between wives. I have quit eating carbohydrates. Sometimes, I even listen to Christian radio. Yea. I'm not kidding.

The last sacred cow I have left is profanity. The spice rack of speech. Ohh...how I cling to cursing like a drowning man to a life raft. It was the one last thing I could do. My last act of rebellion against the masses. That hoi polloi who legislate and tell you how you should live every facet of your life and then desperately seek laws to force you into compliance. Like not using profanity. Freedom is a ridiculous concept to the hoi polloi. Surely, dropping the "F" bomb must be the eleventh commandment they think. Free speech? The hoi polloi believe in free speech just as long as they get to edit it first.

I am trying to imagine a life where I say "gosh or fudge, maybe shucks." Things like that. I am not sure I can do it. I don't even like people who say those things.

In fact, I don't like people who don't swear. Cursing is the absolute only thing I like about Obama. Really.

Los Angeles wants to send the right message. They want porn stars to wear condoms.

This is a state burdened by billions of dollars in debt. They have a crumbling infrastructure and bankrupt cities. Their citizens are woefully over taxed. Corporations and residents are fleeing the state, looking for any place with less regulation. Which is virtually anywhere. California has serious problems.

And what is Los Angeles concerned about? That porn stars wear condoms.

Politicians, lacking any personal courage or tenacity when asked to solve real problems effecting millions of people, instead turn their attention toward that one giant question each and every one of us asks upon awakening each morning. "When are they going to make porn stars wear condoms?"

The porn industry is so wrong in so many ways. It's just sort of a giant mess that exploits actors, which in turn exploits ~~voyeurs~~ customers willing to pay to watch other people have sex. It is a lustful market that waves the first amendment trump card. We tolerate it perhaps- because we have this archaic idea that free speech (which certainly isn't free in most places) applies to the porno industry as long as everyone gets their cut and the districts get their tax revenue.

Of course they have enforcement issues with a bad law like this. Like trying to identify the face of a man who is never in a shot but instead features one bare, naked, penis. There are jurisdiction and statute of limitations problems. Undoubtedly the politicians will be able to solve all of those problems by passing even more ridiculous laws that will face challenges and line city attorneys' pockets even further. Like laws stating that each actor in every shot must be identified for some later prosecution. That is what government does best. It creates problems where none exist.

It's like a crew of firefighters showing up at a huge blaze but choosing instead to wax the ladder truck.

Los Angeles could send any number of messages. But the message it chooses to send is this, "Watching or engaging in cheap and meaningless sex is fine, as long as you wear a condom." Nothing pisses me off more than listening to a bunch of war mongering nationalists claim that Guantanamo Bay is some necessary and efficient piece of the "war on terror." This is absolute bullshit.

I have pissed off more than one debate club on the intarwebs with this position. Interestingly enough, I find that the arguments for Gitmo are not far removed from the same arguments used to kidnap and house Japanese Americans during the 2nd World War. Stop and think about that for a minute.

If you want to anger some older Americans- ask them what due process they employed when ruining the lives of Japanese Americans. You can have some first class fireworks as those unconscious and now ancient nationalists defend the stripping of American rights for no other reason than "we were scared." Yea, that's it. That's nationalism.

You want an example of nationalism on steroids? Hitler's Germany. Citizens of that time still love Hitler. I've met several of them.

Here is the deal. If you believe in freedom- you must believe in freedom for all people. You cannot simply pick and choose when to apply freedom and under what circumstances you will give some. You either represent freedom for all or you don't. You can't invoke the "gosh we were really scared and that justified Gitmo" excuse every time some asshole flies planes into buildings.

A couple of years ago, I got in a heated debate with a couple of high brow liberals over Gitmo. Gitmo is a complete and utter disaster. Once you kidnap people, whether you can justify it or not...once you detain people without due process as war criminals...then you can't even try them in civilian court. This "war on terror" is a war without end. Truth is, it is no more a war than the "war on drugs." Just some made up bullshit. Prisoners have no shot at justice or freedom. None. An unmitigated disaster from a place that calls itself the "land of the free." Do you know how Gitmo ends? When the prisoners all die or get released into society- here. The countries we snatched these suspects from- don't want them back. Does this mean they were likely criminals and undesirable? Of course. But they were somebody else's criminals. Now they have become ours. The countries we exported them from? Very happy. Come get some more, America.

Are some of those folks at Gitmo innocent? Of course. They were kidnapped based on the inaccurate information supplied by self serving and desperate snitches and criminals.

Could we have held these prisoners or whatever the hell they are... on foreign or nearby bases? Yes of course. And that would have made it much easier to release them. Not now.

I am a patriot. I love my country but I do not love my government currently. I love freedom. I believe every human being should have access to freedom. If you want to preach to the world about freedom, I think at the very least you should practice freedom and human rights. That's what we are really talking about. Human rights.

Elantra Exceeds Expectations- The Frankenstein Government Review

Well, I picked up my new Hyundai Elantra in snowy Salt Lake City yesterday. True to form, the buzzards tried to charge me more on the loan docs than the agreed upon price. I made them re-run the docs- of course. I bought an Ipod cable.

I did not know they had In and Out Burger Restaurants in Salt Lake. After 32 days of this sadistic diet, I said screw it. A double double with everything and some fries. About 1100 carbs. Place was a zoo. No place to even sit down. Odd for 2:30 in the afternoon or so I thought.

I had to wait 30 days for this car after the cease fire was announced. It is black with the black and tan interior, has a six speed manual transmission, and Hyundai's comfort package one. That includes cruise, a/c, trip computer, a few other gizmos. It has satellite radio free for 90 days and since I like "jabber free" radio- I will probably order it. The car exceeds my expectations for a couple of reasons you may find odd.

I am 6'4 and 260 lbs. I hate cars that squish me. This one doesn't. I have at least 6 inches of room above my head and I was completely shocked that I did not have to adjust the driver's seat all the way back. The Elantra looks small inside but it is not. The back seats are very usable with lots of leg room.

The gear box is not sloppy- you do not search for gears. The shifter almost snaps into place. I like that a lot.

The speedometer/odometer are white at night. The other dash lights are all blue. I found that color combination very appealing. The glove box is enormous and it uses a recessed opening latch. It has an eyeglass/sunglass case holder mounted in the ceiling. Very clean, no ugly sticking out knobs. The trunk is huge, you can open it with the key fob, and the back seats lay down adding even more room. Visibility is excellent- which brings me to my only two knocks on the vehicle.

The rear view mirror housing looks almost bulky or odd. This car is so stylish it seems weird that they kind of stuck a couple of chunky mirrors on the car. My only other knock is the mileage. Utah and Idaho have 75 MPH speed limits which means we all go 80. With some serious headwinds yesterday, gas mileage at 80 MPH dropped all the way down to 31 as noted by the trip computer. Not even close to the Elantra's EPA stated 40 MPG. However, I dropped my speed to 70 MPH just for shits and giggles and reset the computer for about 40 miles. I ran in the very high 30's around 39 after the winds had subsided. If I lived in a state like Oregon, with their ridiculous and restrictive speed limit of 65 on the interstate (and the biggest speeding fines in the nation) the Elantra would be a perfect blend of speed and gas mileage.

Road noise it almost imperceptible but I had to accept the fact that this car is not a BMW.

I managed to escape with this car for 15,800. It will only take three years worth of gas money to pay for itself as opposed to driving my F-250 around town. Full coverage insurance on this car was cheaper than liability on my F-250 car crusher. I would even recommend this car to people looking at mid-size cars. Hyundai really uses space efficiently in this car.

So today I am going to go wash the road grime off the car and try to burn off that double/double with fries on the treadmill. Back to the sadistic diet for one more month. I hope I can make 30 more days. May dog gless.

I made a traffic stop on an elderly lady the other day for speeding on MN State Highway 210

at Mile Marker 197 just East of McGregor , MN .

I asked for her driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance.

The lady took out the required information and handed it to me.

In with the cards I was somewhat surprised (due to her advanced age)

to see she had a Conceal Carry Permit. I looked at her and ask if

she had a weapon in her possession at this time.

She responded that she indeed had a .45 automatic in her glove box.

Something---body language, or the way she said it---made me want

to ask if she had any other firearms. She did admit to also having

a 9mm Glock in her center console. Now I had to ask one more

time if that was all. She responded once again that she did have

just one more, a .38 special in her purse. I then asked her what

was she so afraid of.

She looked me right in the eye and said, "Not a f****ng thing!"

Frankenstein Government Prepares For Five Dollar Gas

Gas in Nampa yesterday was 2.90. This is as cheap as I have seen it in a very long time.

I wish I had a means of storing gasoline but government laws stopped that long ago. Storing an amount under 500 gallons seems pretty trivial although I have a couple of survivalist friends who have done that.

About two months ago, I began the arduous task of buying a car. I say arduous because I view buying a car like an act of war. If you know the nuances of an auto dealership then you know just what a bunch of vultures they can be. Their goal is to separate you from as much of your money as "legally" possible. My goal is to keep as much of my money as I can. Thus the battle lines are drawn.

First I settled on a car. Originally, I wanted to buy a used Cadillac CTS but eventually the practical side of me won out. After a month or so of investigation and comparison shopping- I settled on the Hyundai Elantra. It was named car of the year last Monday. My new Elantra arrived at the dealership that day. Four hundred miles away in Salt Lake City.

My local Hyundai dealership represents some of the biggest vultures on the planet. Not only do they add every charge they can think of to the sticker price, but they added a 1500 dollar "market equalization" charge to their Elantras. Thus they priced themselves about 4000 dollars higher than a competitive dealer somewhere else. They really have no competing Hyundai dealerships in Idaho so they get away with this crap. I am too old to deal with that kind of robbery. I did offer to buy an Elantra locally for 16,800 which would have represented a mere profit of 1500 plus the extra couple of points that I would allow them to squeeze out of me on the interest rate. Say 2000 bucks, perhaps a little more including hold back. That was not enough for the local vultures. They did not even return my phone call.

I found a market with competing Hyundai dealers in Salt Lake City. I used each of the dealerships to beat up on the other one. Back and forth for over a month. I got the car I wanted, black with a brown interior, but most importantly I got a manual transmission. Not only did that save me another 1000 bucks, but I have been reading reports that people with the manual transmissions are getting better than the stated 29 MPG in city driving. I am old school. Manual trannys are far easier to fix. I tend to own cars a long time. Tomorrow, I will pick up the car. It gets 40 MPG on the highway, has bluetooth and an Ipod cable, heated rear seats (wtf), satellite radio, cruise, a/c. It has a 100,000 mile warranty. It has the best safety rating there is- almost. Full coverage insurance was dirt cheap- in fact it was less than liability on my old truck. I got the car for 15,886 out the door. The interest rate is competitive.

Sales tax is a grand. Damn that stings. But I will pay that in cash.

In December, I spent 480 dollars on gas. This was just driving around town. My old truck only gets 11 MPG. That is painful. Cutting the gas price down to 120-160 a month will pay for the Elantra all by itself.

I had to do some simple math. I based it on 4 dollar gas. In the Elantra, it will cost you 2500 gals of gas to travel 100,000 miles. At 4 bucks, this will cost you 10,000 dollars. In a 20 MPG vehicle, this will cost you 20,000 bucks. In an 11 MPG vehicle, it gets ugly. I will be parking the truck. Spread out over 10 years, the Elantra will cost you 2 grand a year less to operate just in gas.

I think it is very possible that we could see 5 dollar gas very soon. States are going to keep raising taxes. We are past peak oil. Countries (OPEC) are pricing oil and making agreements not to price it in American dollars. The fact that oil is priced in dollars keeps the price low here but stings countries using the yen and the euro. In addition to that, I am beginning to think that President Numb Nuts is trying to start a war with the third biggest oil producer- Iran. My arguments against 5 dollar gas? A strong U.S. dollar in an election year. Obama does not want to see 5 dollar gas this summer. So I am sticking with 4 bucks for this year. That's where I see it. I think 5 bucks is on the horizon for 2013. I really do.

I don't want to be scrambling for an economy car then or trying to unload some upside down SUV when the 5 buck a gallon gas strikes. Or heaven forbid, what if the dollar folds up like a cheap suit and gas heads north of 5? We'll all be riding bicycles soon...which reminds me...spring is just around the corner.

I am a huge New Orleans Saints' fan. Primarily because I lived there for a year and loved it. On fall Sundays, when the team was in town, church services only lasted 44 minutes. Then we were out the door enroute to the Superdome.

Last night, I saw that the spread on the Saints-49ers tilt was -3.5 Saints. That is the consummate sucker line.

Football bettors, wise guys, know there is no better bet than a home dog in the playoff season. That angle, taking +3.5 and the 49ers today, has made me a lot of money over the years. Unfortunately, because I am a Saints fan- I can't do it. I did find one guy willing to take -3.

Of course there is no money involved. That would be illegal.

I have the same dilemma in the Bronco-Patriot tilt. Double digit favorites only cover about 30% of the time. Thus the Patriots at home and 13.5 favorites against Denver are dogs to cover the spread. I don't have the same interest in this game that I do in the first one. However, I am going to be rooting for Tebow because I am sick of Tom Brady. Brady has everything. Yesterday I was doing my unconscious rounds of the dashboard when I stumbled onto Republican Mother's site.

I don't know who Republican Mother is. I will tell you this. I like her. A lot. In fact, I have never disagreed with a single thing she has written or commented on. She is razor sharp. She had embedded a video by John Taylor Gatto. Gatto is a retired NY educator, a free thinker, and anti-establishment. Please do not forget that name. From about 3 PM yesterday until 1 AM, I did nothing but watch and listen to you tube videos of this man. I rinsed and repeated that same exercise this morning for another two hours. Why?

Because John Taylor Gatto solved one of the greatest riddles of my life. What makes the elite different from the rest of us? Why do they get access to the finest everything?

At the end of the day, it simply boils down to education. Of course. The elite must have had access to something I did not. I knew that inherently this must be true. I have observed the elite and their children throughout my life. If you are like me- the product of some shitty tax sponsored cattle training within the public school system- you have seen it as well. In fact, you have felt it. Had I lived my life immersed in some blue collar town- I would have received a lesser dose of elitism. As it stands, I received a very high and nearly fatal dose of elitism, living amongst the snobbery of Moonbat Valley.

There are three kinds of schools. I am offering a vague representation or opinion. This is my summary.

Lets suppose we are looking at a vertical tube or chart, like those used to illustrate accomplished goals on fund raising events. The bottom 10% of that tube is occupied by the people who drop out or simply can't function within any type of formal classroom. They are either financially constrained, emotionally or psychologically constrained, or perhaps even mentally handicapped. For whatever reason, they simply cannot function within our educational system. They drop out. Their classroom becomes the school of hard knocks. Life becomes on the job training.

The next 85% of that vertical tube is occupied by the vast majority of us. State run school educated kids. We are the cattle. The curriculum for us is designed to produce obedient workers. We are made to memorize idiotic things like the Table of Elements not because we will ever use it- but so that we can demonstrate that we are willing to follow directions and memorize some useless fucking chart that will have no further meaning in our lives. This gives the elite use able information. Will this person do as he is told? Will he comply with orders? Is he well disciplined? Did he complete high school and four years of college? The elite and those hiring you are not particularly interested in your GPA, your intelligence, or your abilities- so much as they are interested in making sure that you are capable and compliant. Obedient. You will be eligible for hire for reasons that don't have a damn thing to do with intelligence or ability. In fact, I think most business hierarchies are threatened by intelligent people.

The last 5%, or the top of our tube, is occupied by the elite. They receive an entirely different education than the cattle sent to the state run educational systems. They learn social graces. They learn who is important, how to behave, and how to gain access to important people. They learn things that are extremely useful to enriching their lives. They learn how to behave and act rationally. They learned about the arts and activities that other elite people engage in. They learn these things in private boarding schools where access is generally only granted to those able to afford it. The elite Darwinian evolution is maintained via this educational system.

The wheat is separated from the chaff. The elite are screened and given access to the world of the elite.

Do I believe this? With absolute certainty. I have witnessed it and felt it, time and time again. If I learned anything from the rich and elite in Moonbat Valley it was this. Do I particularly care? No not really. Materialism was never my gig. I simply do not covet wealth. But I do find it interesting.

I am going to embed the first of several Gatto videos I watched last night. He is very intelligent but dry. The quality of the video is poor, particularly the sound. However as you watch and evaluate this guy, you just know that what he says is intrinsically true. Very enlightening stuff.

It's tough being retired. I don't have a lot of people to boss around anymore. I have to hire people to boss around.

I took a man hostage this week. His name is Bob. Bob the painter. Since buying my house early last year, I have painted everything but the sidewalk. Bob does the work. Yesterday, sometime after the hideous mint green experiment, I finally found the right color on the third try. Bob has spent the last two days getting rid of harvest gold, and now, mint green. I had to vacate the premises this afternoon. Bob needed some alone time.

A few blocks from my house is a 2nd run movie theater. On Tuesdays, they charge one measly dollar. I had a friend of mine tell me that he "needed" me to see the movie "Courageous." I saw it this afternoon.

People generally don't say things to me like you "need" to see a movie. That seemed very odd to me. I knew it was about cops. So I figured that's what my friend was referring to. I was wrong. That's not what this movie is about. My friend knew this because he knows me well.

In the end, this is a feel good movie with a very strong message. The acting isn't fantastic but it makes the point. It's funny and it's a little dramatic. But it's good. They ought to run this movie in every high school. But they won't. Heaven forbid- they mention the word "God."

When this movie was over- nobody left the theater. Really. They watched the credits.

If you get a chance to see this movie, do it. It was the best dollar I spent today. It will make you think.

On December 15th, I went on the Atkins diet from hell. Because I am a man I can say this. I am 51.

I endured Christmas and New Years. Not one fucking sugary Santa Claus cookie. No booze or egg nog. Not one slice of bread. Meat and broccoli. Celery. Ya know, all that tasty stuff. Then after watching my family eat like pigs, I came back home. I do an absolute minimum of 3.2 miles a day on treadmills and ellipticals.

As I write this I cannot walk. The pain is almost unbearable. My ankles are both sprained, the ligament in my left knee is knotted, and I think I have a hernia. I am almost completely crippled. I have these Canadian acetaminophen tabs with caffeine and codeine in them. They are wonderful. I am almost out of them. In America, I cannot have them or frosting on my cupcakes because my government knows what is best for me.

To be honest, I have lost 22 pounds in 25 days. It has not been worth it. I am beginning to wonder why I am doing this. It's not like I am getting laid or anything. Here is my advice to everyone. Do not get old or fat. Growing old is not for pussies.

I really miss those Marlboros in the black box. When I finally lose this 50 lbs, sometime in the spring of '16, I might just go get some.

The greatest conspiracy ever thought of, planned, and delivered was the one we just had. The first ten years of the 21st century. We are going to live with the fallout of this event for the rest of our lives.

We all share a common bond here. We know what we can see. We know the government is lying. We know the country is in decline. And we can't do a fucking thing about it. That is powerlessness. Even our own CIA says that our income distribution level is the worst of all developed countries.

In other words, when you strip away ten million manufacturing jobs and send them all over the world, all you are left with is a bunch of cheap service jobs. How are you going to have an economic recovery with a sea of debt and consumers with no money? You can't. It is a fallacy.

All the government can do is lie and cheer lead. That is all they do.

This year my state retirement fund handed out a 1% cost of living increase despite government statistics that say inflation last year ran at 3.6%. For three years in a row now- our retirement fund has handed out a whopping 1%. I figure in that time frame, I have lost a very real 15% in terms of buying power. I can extrapolate that out ten years. I am in big fucking trouble. Why? I am going to lose 5% buying power per year and our retirement fund is not even going to try and match inflation. Our state retirement fund cannot possibly generate returns of 7.5% which ours and just about every other retirement fund in the U.S. is hoping to do. The greed conspiracy has ruined that. Why Do We Keep Electing the Wrong People?

Because we are a nation of misguided fools adhering to inaccurate beliefs. Bush Jr. convinced me of that. Obama, international man of mystery and lost documents, has sealed that belief.

The worst part about this? We are going to do it again.

George Carlin was right. We don't elect people in this country that represent us, the majority. We elect people who represent a vast minority. Think about that for a minute.

Do the majority of us go to Yale, Harvard, or Columbia? Are the majority of us born into ultra rich and elite families? Do we have networks of rich families willing to give us cushy jobs with big titles? Are the majority of us such ego driven maniacs that we are willing to say anything to get elected? Do we have the ability to tap banks for hundreds of millions in contributions? No, of course not.

Why then do we keep electing these assholes?

We have a collective, illusory belief in this country. It is a lie. It is a lie passed from generation to generation. It is a layered lie. A lie where wealth and intelligence cannot be separated from truth. It goes something like this.

First you must be born into wealth. If not, you must acquire wealth or be willing to acquire it any way possible. Wealth is power. Entry into a prestigious school with ridiculous standards and outrageous tuition costs helps a lot. You are paying for an image. That image of success is undeniable. It is an essential part of our U.S. belief system that says graduating from Harvard or similar school is a guarantee of success. In fact, were it deniable, Harvard would not be anything special. Harvard is only special in the minds of people who BELIEVE it is special. Obviously that's a lot of people. Virtually every Supreme Court Justice graduated from Harvard. All nine of them. How is that possible? Is Harvard the only law school in the U.S.? Does every other law school suck? Apparently.

Perception may be reality- but it is often fallible as decades worth of proof mount up.

We have this ridiculous perception in America that money means success. The terms, money and success, are interchangeable we think. In furtherance of the value we place on money we believe wealth equates to intelligence. If you have more money than us- you must be more intelligent than we are. Therefore, we tend to elect successful looking or wealthy people. People that have created an "image" of success. It doesn't matter whether they have truly accomplished anything just so long as they appear to have accomplished something. The right image. If you have that superficial pre-requisite in place, people believe.

Mitt Romney is the perfect example of another ineffective and superficial elitist. He was born into wealth, given the best schooling, had the best connections, and got a little lucky. You want to know the best part? He is a BANKER. (Bain Capital) The same people that have pillaged this country. The left and the right and the banking industry want you to elect him. Of course they do and you will. Mitt Romney just oozes maintenance and safety of the status quo. Business as usual. Read this glowing abstract of the life of Romney. That's what government encouraged us to do. Invest your money and avoid our taxes. What's not to like?

Well, as it turns out- plenty. This is how it panned out for me.

In the summer of 2009 with no jobs in sight, I pulled out a large sum of 401k money. Federal and state taxes cost me 27%. The Feds tacked on a 10% penalty because don't you know- we agreed to keep it in until death do us part or age 59.5 came. The problem with all of that was- nobody anticipated that our government would grease the wheels of the banking elite so that they in turn could bankrupt the world. Thus ruining all of our investments and leaving us with a national debt we will NEVER pay.

It really is criminal negligence. They'll be happy when we are all living in tents. It has been the greatest grand theft of all time. Bankers stealing everything in sight while a President is putting for par on Hawaiian golf courses.

Had I known this, I doubt I would have saved a dime. I remember the narcissist in chief telling us all in 2008 how he was going to let us use our 401k money (Isn't that rich- going to let us use our own money?) penalty free. Yea. I'm still waiting. 1. Tax the shit out of people. (Extortion or protection)

3. Then change all of the rules for bankers because they finance campaigns and buy politicians.
4. Let the bankers issue credit to everyone with warm blood. (Give the shoeshine boy a mansion.)
5. Have a bank/stock market collapse. (No more shoeshine boys taking out loans)
6. Then have a housing collapse. ( Nobody saw it coming, it's a mystery.)
7. Steal a couple of trillion to give to bankers and business friends.
8. Charge those two trillion to the public debt- that way the people who lost all of their home equity, all of their 401k money, can also have an enormous debt to pay back.
9. If people have any money leftover after all of that, print more money so that savings and buying power can be inflated away.
10. Make sure none of your cronies gets prosecuted and let them keep all of the money they stole.

Doctors Going Broke? Unfortunately, There Is Always One Common Denominator-

Yesterday I went to see a movie called "In Time." It's kind of hokey but it's about a futuristic people who are given time and if their personal clocks "expire" they die.

I love the concept because the movie is really about money. The parallels are outstanding. The haves survive and the have nots- don't. I see that happening in America. Particularly with health care. People cannot afford it. People will die.

I love doctors. I think most of them are great humanitarians. Unfortunately, many of them are tied to the government. That same voracious government that controls everything and steals everyone's wealth. Now doctors are going broke. Years ago, I was playing cards in Pahrump, Nv. Seated to my left was a Vietnam army veteran in a wheelchair. He had lost his legs in the war. We struck up a conversation and eventually he invited me to dinner. At the time I think I had been a cop for about 20 years and I mentioned that to him.

At some point prior to our parting company, he said "Thank you for your service." He caught me completely off guard- this man with no legs. In fact, I don't even think I returned the thank you. Some guy with no legs thanking me. Imagine that. I am humbled now as I recall that moment. I cannot tell you how many times I have thanked vets for their service. Many, many times, because of that lapse.

To be honest, I understand that the country is angry over government retirement packages. I think what strikes me over and over again about the "New America" is that whether it is private or public, employers simply do what is legal. They are not interested in doing what is right. It is interesting that 30 years ago, public service paid nothing. Our meager retirement is about all we had going for us. The Feds threw in health care for their employees. Today government jobs are the most attractive. Who knew that our retirement and health care would be so valuable? I couldn't have predicted that in 1982.

So what is minimally legal is often wrong. That's what pisses me off the most. The ethical and moral standards of this country, doing what is right, are no longer important. What can we get away with or what does the law allow...is the only standard that remains.

What would be wrong with offering pilots with 15 years service a couple of options? Buy out packages, pro-rated and reduced retirements, or allowing them to opt in for the remainder of time to get fully vested? Becoming instructors. Changing the rules for new recruits. There are all kinds of options.

For pilots, those were the original rules and the pretenses that induced them to sign up and then stay- If you liked the military you could retire in 20 years...well...unless they change the rules sometime in between.

Time and time again, it seems that the people who suffer the most are always the ones who do the work. The upper echelons of the military or politicians always seem to escape similar cuts but are more than willing and happy to apply them to subordinates.

You ever see a politician lose their legs? Nah me neither.

Obama's Arrogance Truly Knows No Limitations

Electing Obama has been such a disaster on so many fronts. Not only was he completely inept and incapable of meaningful "public service" but he is a complete narcissist. That wouldn't be so bad normally except that this asshole is like a narcissist on steroids.

The dude is incapable of any, I mean any, rigorous self honesty. He does not have any.

He loves to make recess appointments of nefarious characters for reasons unknown except to him. By making recess appointments of dubious people- the American people have no means to question the integrity of these individuals- and thus the whole Senate confirmation process is avoided. This time I think he is doing it out of anger. Like a little boy throwing a tantrum. The intent of recess appointments originally was to make them when absolutely necessary to keep government running while Congress was in recess.

Not to piss off the opposing party. Obama pays little attention to the intent of the law.

Don't Ever Under Estimate the Will of Government

Many years ago, I had a co-worker explain to my why a mutual friend of ours was so intelligent. His explanation was based on the absolute greed and cunning of our mutual friend. Our friend had amassed a small fortune- but had done so at the expense of others. This in America, is called "business." Exploiting people may seem intelligent to some people. And to be fair, it does take some measure of intelligence to find a niche and exploit it. Where conscience is shallow or perhaps completely ignored, there is money to be made.

The willingness to do something does not necessarily have a damn thing to do with what is right or intelligent.

Don't ever confuse intelligence with greed or self centered-ness. These character traits can easily occupy the same space (or not) at the same time and for some- this may be confusing. I don't consider the exploitation of people particularly intelligent. The other tricky thing about intelligence is that it is highly subjective. To a half wit, everyone else looks intelligent. To Einstein, everyone else looks a little slow. The absence or use of intelligence, in varying degrees, can also be situational.

Let me give you an example. Let's suppose Politician A is a Senator. Politician A really wants a spending bill to pass for personal reasons but his constituents back home will crucify him if he votes for it. So Politician A actually lobbies privately for the bill with other Senators. They are not up for re-election nor do they come from districts that will crucify them for voting for the measure. Politician A knows precisely how many votes are needed for the measure to pass. When the time comes to vote for the measure, he votes "nay" knowing that the measure will pass anyway but making him look like he opposed it. Other Senators know exactly what he is doing. Does this shit go on? All the fucking time.

So let me ask you. Is that intelligent?

Government is very well aware that the vast majority of citizens in this country disapprove of the job they are doing. They read every bit as much as most Americans. Maybe more. They know where they stand.

Let me tell you something else. They know they've screwed the pooch. Privately, they would tell you this. Publicly, they will never admit to this. It's easy for Americans to observe our debt spiraling out of control. Of politicians we think, "What is wrong with these people? Are they fucking stupid?"

The answer to that question is no. They simply understand and accept something the rest of us have not figured out. They screwed us. No miracle is going to come and pay off that sixteen thousand billion we owe. We also have three times that amount of money coming due and payable in the form of social security, medicare, and prescription drug payments. It is game over. There ain't no money to pay this and there ain't gonna be any miracles. No Deus Ex Machina ending here.

And then we are going to throw some gasoline on that fire in the form of Obamacare. Pure genius.

What politicians are engaged in now is a form of career triage. They are going to put their best face forward and tell constituents what they want to hear. They are going to pray like hell that when elections come- that you will all forget what they have done. They are going to take care of themselves, their little fortunes, health care and retirement packages. They are busy preparing afterlife gigs as lobbyists, consultants, bankers, speakers, and any number of cushy little jobs offered to them as a result of their years of "public service."

They are in the mother of all Catch 22's. They can't raise taxes- because there simply isn't enough money to cure this mess and people are taxed out and will vote them out. They refuse to cut government funding because they are convinced the world will go to hell in a hand basket without some giant waste of money like the Department of Education.

That leaves politicians with one option. Take care of their own personal lives and fortunes and grab as much largesse as they can while they can. Their careers look pretty short. Kick the can until one day- some future President and Congress either kick off WW3 to avoid complete economic death or we declare bankruptcy.

In the meantime, government is preparing. It sees what is coming and that is a big old cloud of civil unrest and potential violence. That's why Obama hired 12,000 additional IRS agents, why FEMA is building camps and that's why Obama signed NDAA- the right to hold American citizens indefinitely. That's why we have radio frequency chips in our passports, GPS in our cellphones, and software in those smart phones that tracks every keystroke. They know what they are going to have to do one day.

I must have read a hundred pieces this week- all of them bitching about the NDAA granting our military the right to detain citizens indefinitely, without trial or due process. In no way, shape, or form should that be legal. It is counter to every concept in the Bill of Rights. It's pretty clear to me that our government has been preparing.

My only regret is that I am probably too old to see how all of this turns out.

The Leavenworth Incident

I grew up in Butte, Montana. For those who don't know, Butte is probably the greatest mining town in America. It was chock full of immigrants from everywhere. Primarily Irish.

Those men and women could swear. And drink. Smoke and chew. And gamble. And fight. And well...do everything bad. They were my heroes. Not the best role models for a ten year old kid. But, they were mine.

So I've spent a lifetime unwinding every bad habit I learned in Butte. I don't drink or gamble much anymore. I don't smoke or chew having quit that a year ago. I think about kicking someone's ass every now and then, especially the Muslim punks at the gym, but for the most part- my fighting days are behind me. I am just a shell of a man. All that is left for me is profanity and I cling to it like a life raft. I can swear with the best of them. Profanity or swearing is the spice rack of speech. Without it, speech is just some bland thing we do to pass time. It dis-interests me.

To be honest I've even cut down on my use of profanity. But not enough that any outsider would notice. I still weave "fuck" through a lot of my speech. Like a pattern on a quilt. That's just me.

When I was a kid, if you didn't swear- I simply didn't trust you. I figured you for some Mormon type. As an adult, I never really improved on that belief much. In fact, to this day, I associate with people who swear. Unfortunately, I attract those people who have decided that the use of profanity is a terrible thing. You know the type. I call them crusaders or controlling types. These are people bent on changing the exterior world to suit them or for short, assholes. They will "out" you virtually anywhere because they have no internal control mechanism for dealing with speech. I never know for certain when a crusader infiltrates my ranks. I try to use advance intelligence and screening techniques but unfortunately once in awhile a crusader sneaks under my perimeter fence and into the compound.

This year, my entire family descended on Leavenworth, Washington for Christmas. It is a beautiful place. We were staying with my sister's father in law, a man whom we had never met. I will call him Ray because that in fact is his name. Ray is about to meet the family from Butte and one of the most prolific "swearers" there is. I listened to Ray for a few hours, shortly after our arrival on Dec. 23. I heard him utter a standard ration of curse words. I was lulled into thinking he was "normal." So, I liked Ray. However, in hindsight, I never heard him say the word "fuck." That as it turns out, was a mission failure I would pay for on Christmas Eve.

Like swearing, my family drinks. Ray drinks. And on Christmas Eve, everyone was drinking. A lot. Except me. And we were doing what we do best. Laughing and teasing each other. Now my job is not to police the world anymore nor am I a crusader. In fact, back in my drinking days, I drank more than anyone which contributes heavily to my being sober for the last 5 years. So I enjoy my family especially when they have been drinking. They say some funny shit. So there we were, everyone except me- three sheets to the wind. I am telling some story in my usual fashion with the liberal use of the f-bomb when Ray interrupts me. Ray it seems, has chosen this moment to expose his crusader genes. He looks at me and says "why do you have to use that word?" "I think people who use that word are asinine." He was angry and actually quivering a little bit as he spoke. He was not telling me something- he was feeling something. He said some other things which amounted to overkill. I got the point.

So it's a tough situation being in front of your family, getting humiliated and shamed by a crusader who has consumed a gallon of beer. Especially at the ripe young age of 51. You could have heard a pin drop in that room. All conversation ceased while several semi intoxicated minds and one sober one contemplated what would happen next.

In the old days, I would have delivered a brow beating designed to crush crusaders like Ray. However, the old days are gone. It was Christmas Eve. Everyone is looped. My job at that moment, was not to make this scene any worse. I did the only reasonable thing that I could. I apologized. That level of emotional pain is almost unbearable for me. My ego is screaming out, "KILL HIM NOW." But I can't. I have internal controls. I cannot throw everything that has happened in my life out the window because some drunken crusader has decided to launch a public attack on Christmas Eve. Oh and of course, the crusaders always think they are entitled to do that. They will adamantly defend their positions because their mother or their aunt told them swearing is bad. Or any number of other puritanical justifications. I have heard them all. I am a veteran.

To avoid such incidents, all crusaders should hand out a list of things, some rules. Posted in a conspicuous place. Like their forehead. That way we know in advance what is expected of us. Like the terms of service or an agreement you sign on line. If you don't like the terms- you can reject them.

The "Leavenworth Incident" as we are now referring to it- has been placed on a memory stick somewhere near my "oobla doobla" which is that part of my brain reserved for crusaders.

The one thing I have observed about all crusaders is their inability to tolerate the beliefs of anyone else. They are unconscious. In fact, they are the first people to label and condemn others. They have a singleness of purpose which they march forward as though it was divinely imparted. Like they alone know what is right in the world and God himself has spoken to them. Like Moses. I don't get too upset at those types anymore. All that wasted energy. Accomplishing nothing. I am still clinging.

It will be fun to see whether the dunderhead in office can avoid another conflict before elections. We will not get in a war with Iran unless Israel provokes it. Then all bets are off.

OBAMACARE

Obamacare will not pass the muster of the Supreme Court. It's just too fucked up in it's entirety. At the end of the day, all of those Harvard grads will send it back. Unlike the idiots who passed it, the court may actually read the bill. That should be enough. Even they have a conscience.

PRESIDENTIAL AND CONGRESSIONAL ELECTIONS

Mitt Romney is the chosen elitist. He was picked by the established status quo. Now that the bankers have all escaped jail, it's time to get back to business as usual. The country will elect Romney. He is seen as the least scary guy by both parties. You can rest assured he will suck and be just as bad as Obama. And I will refuse to read Ace of Spades for the next four years as they defend every stupid fucking thing the GOP does.

In Congress, anybody with an (I) by their name is toast. Unless they are from Mexifornia. There will be a few sporadic exceptions. California has proven that not only have liberals ruined the state finances but that the voters are happy about their impending bankruptcy. They will keep doing what they do best- voting for idiots and seeking largesse.

THE EURO AND THE EUROZONE

Completely screwed. Nothing will get better. The FED will buy the 300 billion dollars worth of Italian debt coming due in Februrary. That's why they got involved already. Germany will have to leave the EU and the whole mess will come crashing down. The euro is kaput. I just don't know when.

JAPAN AND THE YEN

The UNITED STATES ECONOMY AND THE STOCK MARKET

We are completely screwed too- but we have a crooked FED with a printing press in an election year.
The U.S. economy is dead money. Government generated stats from the BLS will be even more fraudulent than usual. The government will continue to lie about inflation and unemployment as Obama does his best to retain his country club membership. Unfortunately, the man with 5 mansions is coming to reel him in.

All of this could be behind us- if we had just let those crooked banks fail. President Hank Paulson failed us. See Iceland for an example of what happens when a country lets insolvent banks fail. Winning.

The stock market will go down. It has to. The only way it can remain high is if the FED starts another round of quantitative easing. If QE3 starts, the market will rise. Watch gold and silver go parabolic.

GOLD, SILVER, AND OIL

All three will be vastly higher this year. With QE3, I have gold near 2400, oil at 150, and silver at 75. Ten percent lower than these levels absent QE3. The silver fundamentals are absolutely fantastic. In fact, it might be the greatest trade of my lifetime in terms of surefire bets. The world needs silver, supplies are virtually non existent. Silver at these price levels is a steal. I bought more (physical of course) on Friday.

Sixteen Days of Hell

On Dec. 15, I stuffed all 278 pounds of me into my size 36 Wranglers for the last time. Those are some really tough pants. They very nearly cut me in half that day. I have gained 40 lbs. since I quit smoking a year ago. That's hardly a novelty- having heard that same story from every ex smoker on the planet.

At any rate, using a "come-a-long" winch to put my pants on is the kind of thing that motivates me. Instantly, that day, I began the diet from hell.

I did not give two shits that Christmas was coming up. When I get determined to do something, nothing stops me. I thwarted cookies, fudge, chocolate, bread, egg nog. So today, I stepped on the scale at the gym. Exactly where I want to be, 262 lbs. I have lost a pound a day.

It has not been easy. I forget how much my version of the Atkin's diet on steroids sucks.

This is a typical day for me. A glass of V-8 juice, my prescription and vitamins. Go to the gym and burn 700 calories, about 4 miles worth of work. Come home and eat a salad. I make ginormous salads. A few hours later I have something like 3 brats with cheese and sauerkraut. Some nuts or pork rinds for a snack. Lots of water. I buy the carbonated stuff. Day after miserable day.

No carbs. No cookies, no bread, no fruit, no oatmeal. Then kill myself at the gym. As I write this- every part of me is sore except my ears. And my hair.

I don't know if I can live through this shit again. I'll tell you what a nut job I am. I am actually thinking of extending this a week through the end of the month if I haven't lost my original goal of 50 lbs.

Being healthy sucks. I should have just bought a bigger pair of pants. Maybe some smokes.

The Absent Volume Metals Melt Down and Conspiracy

I'd like to turn your attention to one of the biggest banking crooks there is, JP Morgan. In fact, it is primarily JP Morgan that shorts the silver market- selling virtually unlimited puts. Now let me explain my theory and premise about the metals markets. First of all, as Turd Ferguson notes, the rush into the dollar and out of the euro has strengthened the dollar. Obviously there is an inverse relationship between fiat money and real money. The dollar against gold and silver. When the dollar strengthens, the metals trend down. When the dollar is printed and inflated- thus weakened- the metals take off. So we have that scenario. But then it gets interesting.

I am going to try and paint my version of the big picture here. I will also invite my friends to add to or make corrections if need be.

Thousands of commodity traders and customers of MF Global lost access to their money which was on deposit with MF Global when MF Global went bankrupt on Oct 31. Now the lawsuits have started. This is because there are multiple claims on the finite assets of MF Global. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-12-12/hsbc-sues-mf-global-brokerage-over-850-000-worth-of-gold.html We know that MF Global hijacked at least 200 million and gave it to JP Morgan in advance of the bankruptcy. How convenient. Now people are lining up to sue.

Rehypothecation is a practice that occurs principally in the financial markets, where a bank or other broker-dealer reuses the collateral pledged by its clients as collateral for its own borrowing. So client funds, including physical assets were frozen and seized because bankers had priority claims. Claims on the money and assets of depositors at MF Global. Is that possible? Yes. It is a fantastic fraud, one which demands that MF Global CEO Jon Corzine be put in jail. But being the elite and connected bastard that he is (Obama's top campaign bundler) all that Corzine has done is spew a few lies and evade a few questions. He walks free with his 100's of millions in personal assets I might add. This after testifying in that Congressional dog and pony show designed to make it look like some measure of due diligence is taking place.

In the meantime, since Oct 31...metals markets have taken a complete dive. Why? Who the fuck wants to deposit money with a commodity broker and trade paper metals knowing that your money can be legally stolen from you? This is a market with no buyers. Nobody is going to catch a falling knife. The bankers are having their bankers holiday- selling gold and silver contracts and covering short positions. I wish that were the end of this story but there is one more piece. Paper still drives the physical price of metals. For now.

Position limits. In the coming weeks, futures speculators (like big banks) were going to be regulated. They no longer could issue an infinite number of contracts on underlying commodities regardless of available supply. In other words, big speculators (read banks again) were losing significant leverage- leverage that they had used to manipulate markets. Bottom line. The metals markets are broken. There are no buyers. The price is almost straight down and the volume is non existent. It makes sense to me in light of what I have conveyed here today. Who benefits? The bankers. As always. Time and time again, they show us who runs the markets. They have a bought and paid for Congress and President. In a square game, you might stand a chance. This game is so hopelessly crooked with a deck stacked against you that you are an idiot if you sit down to play. I am talking about paper markets. This is a necessary piece of the end game.

Where will this slide end? I'm not sure. This is getting really ugly. There is absolutely no integrity or even an illusion of integrity left in markets. Our country is breaking down on so many levels, that it is hard to fathom.

I am going to take one last significant stab at adding to physical metals soon. I am expecting a tremendous, hard reversal this year. The world is still bankrupt. However, I have no illusions that the crooked bankers won't try anything and everything within their power to maintain control over markets and us. They have demonstrated that to me in ample fashion over these past two months. If I wasn't a conspiracy theorist before then- I certainly am now.

Frankenstein Government Endorses The Only Candidate With No Visible Skeletons In His Closet (Yet)... Libertarian Gary Johnson

I've been following former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson for a couple of years now. He is the only conservative that makes sense. I have always liked Johnson better than Paul but unfortunately Johnson was wasting time with the GOP nomination. Johnson is a huge anti tax guy and I don't know of any scandals. He has 6 more years worth of experience running a state than Ms. Palin does and he didn't quit. In fact, he left it with a one billion dollar surplus. Can a third party candidate win?

I have had this year (2012) on my radar for years. I can't wait. Here's why.

Obama is going to start the new year out right by asking for another 1.2 trillion debt ceiling hike- adding to an insurmountable debt which there is no way in hell we are ever going to pay back. How can I be so sure? At 100% debt to GDP ratios, historically, all nations stagnate and fail. It's game over. Maybe if we had the capacity (jobs) to turn back the debt like we had in post WW2. But we don't. Need current proof? Look at the Japanese who have been dead in the water since 1989 with a debt to GDP ratio that exceeds 200%. Have they paid back any of that debt they owe? Nyet. I think there is at least a 60% chance of deep recession this year. Another bout of deflation. The FED will print more money to try and stop deflation and then we will get the hyperinflation that gold bugs like me are praying for. Not just the real 8-9% inflation that we have been suffering through. We are going to get the mother of all inflation. I think it would be quite fitting if Obama was still in office to see the fruits of his labors.

Five years ago, I read up on that whole Mayan bak'tun history. I even checked out books at the library. I studied everything I could get my hands on or watch on tv. My conclusion? Nothing is going to happen. Sadly, the apocalypse appears to be bullshit. But there are some bright spots.

I'll tell you how optimistic I am. I like our chances of having and suffering through a Mayan apocalypse far better than our chances of paying back this 16.4 trillion dollar debt. It had been 80 years since the bankers plunged us into a depression. I suppose we were over due. The bankers lobbied hard and bought the best politicians they could in order to get the controls lifted. It worked. Maybe this time would be different, the bankers thought.

The only thing different this time around is our abject failure to collectively call this what it is. In 1929 we called it the Great Depression. This time we call it the Great Recession. The only difference is that we haven't re-installed the controls. Or plotted a solution. It is a mess. And we have an idiot for a leader. "President Talks a Good Game" but never brings one.

So here I am. A grain of sand on the beach. Mr. U-6.

Call me a pessimist but I always plan for the worst possible outcome. That is to say, when I buy equities, silver, a house, or a car I always ask, "What is the worst thing that could happen?" And then I say, "Can I live with that outcome?"

It works on virtually everything. I exclude death in most instances.

Now I got home late last night. After all of the unpacking, I got on line. I looked at the usual dearth of jobs. Ohhh, they are shitty. They pay poorly and they offer no benefits. I have been doing this, on and off, for 3 years.

In fact, most jobs are simply not resume' worthy. Sometimes I mull over actually applying for one of those crappy 9 dollar an hour jobs. And then I don't. This is how the brain of a simpleton works.

Really crappy jobs are easy to find. Those are the ones that are open. Usually they involve submitting yourself to some humiliating form of punishment called employment. In the old days, we just came to work and worked at a somewhat leisurely pace. Those days are gone. Now you must work at a frenetic pace and often for chump change, receive no benefits, and take orders from some moron. Or be openly exploited.

Most of the time, I just can't do it. I value my freedom far more than that. I am the U-6.

I feel sorry for anyone exiting college with a tuition mortgage and entering this workplace. We passed an anti slavery law years ago. The trick now is to lure young workers into slavery voluntarily- that way nobody gets charged. You promise students' jobs if only they will pony up and get an expensive degree. Then when they exit school they will be offered some entry level job that pays peanuts from which they are supposed to pay rent, utilities, groceries, 400 dollars a month for a car and insurance. Those 4 things in Boise, a cheap place to live, will cost you a net 1700 a month. Throw in that 300-500 dollar a month tuition loan payment and we quickly arrive at 2200 a month. Another 300 a month for a high deductible health insurance policy and there you are. You need 2500 a month net money per month just to get by. Of course the government on multiple levels- is there to get their cut of your money. It will be many years before this gets any better. It will probably get far worse.

We are creating the future U-6.

Over the weekend, I think I found a way to make money writing by a person that makes money writing. The trick, as always, is to cut out the gatekeepers, filters, and middle men. Remove obstructions from free markets and amazingly enough you get- free markets. I think that's how it's going to be in this new U-6 economy. Find unconventional ways to make a living by becoming your own boss.

That's my New Year's resolution. Give up on the idea that I must find some crappy job and create one of my own with hours I like. With a boss that really cares about me.

Christmas In Leavenworth

This year's Christmas activities are taking place in prison. No, not really.

We are about 20 miles from Wenatchee. The town of Leavenworth has at least 12 million Christmas lights hung in the center of town. There is a little snow and ice. Last night we watched kids sliding down a hill in the center of town. It was fun watching them. They looked like park rats.

So about ten of us are invading.

We are staying in a beautiful home over looking the Wenatchee River. This is my brother in laws'-father's home. I am writing to you from my couch, inside the deck, overlooking the river.

I am the only one up. This may have something to do with the 9 gallons of beer and wine that was consumed last night. I do not miss those mornings. I do miss those evenings a little bit.

I managed to cling to my meat diet. Barely. There is candy, fudge, and chocolates everywhere.

Today is Christmas Eve. We have two family traditions. We all go shopping together and buy worthless shit for each other. Like Elmer Fudd hats. I found one called the "leather hog" last night. It will look good on my Road King. The other tradition we indulge in... is the eating of the oyster stew. Gawd, how I love this. Not the stew. The stew is horrible. My sister absolutely refuses to eat it. Every year I get to listen to her concoct some bullshit excuse about why she can't eat it. This year will be the same. Hearing her whine has become the tradition now.

Maybe something really funny will happen today and if so, I'll chime in. If not I hope every one of you has a wonderful Christmas.

Nationalism vs. Patriotism

-It's a curious thing in a material sense. The people who die fighting don't have much to lose. The people with everything to lose- don't die fighting. The trick is getting someone else to do your fighting for you. The haves are careful to call the have nots... patriots.

Time and time again, I see people confused by the subtle differences of nationalism and patriotism. The terms are not interchangeable and do indeed- define two different belief systems. Belief systems are opinions. It is important to make that distinction. Nationalism tends to be blind loyalty to the state or political entity. Patriotism tends to be loyalty to a country, culture, or concept such as freedom. It does not require blind loyalty to a political body or entity.

The "Patriot Act" should have been titled the "Nationalist Act." That type of accuracy might have raised some eyebrows. The definitions are blurry and confusing because the state likes it that way.

Those subtle differences are not even born out with precision by commonly referred to references. Here's wiki on nationalism: It can also include the belief that the state is of primary importance, or the belief that one state is naturally superior to all other states.^[3]^[4] It is also used to describe a movement to establish or protect a 'homeland' (usually an autonomous state) for an ethnic group.

Pretty close. Now here's patriotism:
Patriotism is a devotion to one's country, excluding differences caused by the dependencies of the term's meaning upon context, geography and philosophy. In a generalized sense applicable to all countries and peoples, patriotism is a devotion to one's country.

Wiki says that the term nationalism is related to patriotism. Really?

This is not a case of splitting hairs. In fact, these two terms are the basis for many disagreements and one of the reasons our entire culture is fractured and cannot agree on anything political.

Patriots are devoted to their culture, country, or people- perhaps to a concept such as freedom. You will not find blind devotion to the political state within the definition of a patriot. That is not what a patriot is devoted to.

Nationalism is blind devotion to the state. I cannot think of a better example than Hitler's Germany. Or unfortunately, the U.S. depriving American citizens of Japanese descent their freedom, lives, and property in relocation camps. Adamantly justifying it. Don't go waving your patriot flag at me while defending that. That's nationalism.

The lines get blurred because the political state wants them blurred. Devoted nationalists are called patriots by the political state. They want to confuse you. They want good followers. What they don't want is patriots. People who question the powerful over reach of the state. Patriots are not concerned with blind loyalty to the political state. In all cases, patriots spell death to oppressive regimes and to the political state.

I posed this question to a fellow blogger. Why are we surprised that our political state has drafted legislation to detain and imprison it's own citizens without due process? Our oppressive political state kidnapped hundreds of suspected terrorists from all over the world. Of course the vast majority are guilty, evil men. But what about the few who aren't? Are the few innocent ones simply acceptable collateral damage? The ones fingered by a desperate snitch? How do we sort them out without due process? Without due process, the innocent are denied freedom. Isn't that one of the reasons we killed the King's men? Aren't we the big flag waving patriots that say all men are created equal?

There in lies the rub. You can't have it both ways. Either you are for limiting the power of the state by refusing to engage in criminal acts of kidnapping and cloaking your activities in a shroud of nationalism or wars on terror or you are not. If you are going to tolerate the act of kidnapping by the state abroad then you must tolerate domestic acts of kidnapping, denial of due process, and forfeiture of civil rights right here. You are a nationalist, but you are no patriot. You can't have it both ways.

How would a patriot react? Patriots question the illegal conduct of government- even in the face of a majority of nationalists or popular opinion. They are devoted to their culture and country. Devoted to people confused and misguided by the state. Patriots have great courage because oftentimes- they can be an isolated minority. Nationalists are whispered a lie by the political state. You are a good little patriot.

Here is something written by patriots. Perhaps you will recognize it.

All You Can Eat Meat

The great thing about having your own blog is that you can write about any damn thing you want. So today I thought I'd take a rain check on government hating. Deviate into masochistic dieting with a little history. My diet history began after the summer of '07 and a U.S. tour via motorcycle. I ate and drank very well on that trip. You can hide a little extra weight at 6'4" or so. But there are limitations. Sooner or later things get a little squishy.

In early November that year, I jumped into my Jeep and headed back to New Orleans for the winter. All 300 pounds of me. I was about to launch a weight loss mission. By Christmas of that year, I weighed 218 pounds. I had lost 82 pounds in something like 55 days. From size 40 to 34. I could even fit into a 32 waist without too much struggle.

I have told that story a few times. Very often people think I am full of shit or at least exaggerating and they have told me that. Losing weight in dramatic fashion is not easy, but it can be done. It just takes tremendous discipline for a predetermined length of time. In just a paragraph or two, I will tell you how I do it.

In July of this year, my girlfriend and I parted company. I wouldn't have declared either one of us fat but that is probably too forgiving. Both of us were about 40 pounds overweight. Now I haven't seen her in quite awhile. Last week, I saw her for the first time since we broke up. We are on good terms. She looked fantastic. She had lost all 40 of those pounds. Nothing really says "fuck you" like losing weight where ex boyfriends are concerned and getting new boyfriends becomes a priority.

In her defense, she wasn't outwardly smug... but you can bet your ass she was enjoying that. I have to credit that gal. She motivates me. Not only did I quit smoking because of her, (she still does) but I'll be damned if I am gonna let her ice cream eating ass show me up.

Let me introduce you to the Frankenstein "all you can eat meat" weight loss program. This diet makes Atkins look healthy. It is Atkins on steroids. I limit the duration. I am going to lose 50 pounds in 40 days. This is how I will do it.

I determine how much I am going to lose. I set the time frame. Since I know it's not going to be forever or eternal, it is easier to stay focused. My end date is Jan. 25. I have found that I have to do this every two years. That's been my experience.

You cannot drink alcohol. No milk, no fruit juice. You cannot drink coffee to excess. Maybe two cups or 16 oz. per day.

I allow myself 35-50 carbs per day. That's it. A nutritional shake in the morning or yogurt with a few strawberries in it and every other day, 12 oz. of V-8 vegetable juice. That's pretty much the entire carb intake. I laughingly refer to this diet as the "meat diet." In reality, I probably eat 3 to 4 times more meat by weight and volume than I do vegetables.

I eat every kind of meat known to man. All day long, in enormous quantities. Whole chickens, spiral ham, half a turkey. Brats and sauerkraut. Two pounds of sirloin. Lots of fish, herring, salmon, tuna. I eat gobs of low carb vegetables, salads. My favorite is asparagus, brussel sprouts, cauliflower. Huge amounts of eggs. I have virtually every kind of cheese sold in the store. That's it. Nothing else. Maybe some peanuts. And I drink tons of water. At least a gallon a day. For a snack, I sliced and ate an entire cucumber today.

Ok that's the easy part.

Now after consuming those 50 carbs or so in the morning, I head straight for the gym. I run 3.2 miles. At night I ride my airdyne for 30 minutes or walk an additional two miles. You must do this every day. The hard part is your energy level. With no carbs or easy energy, your body is forced to use stored fat and it will eat a little lean muscle too. They call it ketosis. You will be sluggish and tired and I take naps. That's just tough shitski. The problem I encounter is that I lack energy once I have used up those easy carbs in the morning. Energy at night is hard to find. I eat a few broccoli carbs toward the evening.

I use a simple trick. I do this one day at a time. I do not let my mind wander and sabotage my mission by looking ahead. I am focused on today. I know what I am going to eat. I am five days in, I have lost 11 pounds on the gym scale- just to to make sure that the meat diet is still working.

In a day or two I will be traveling for Christmas. Eating on the road is nearly impossible when you are on a mission such as this. I will take my food with me. I am not kidding. If I absorb any extra carbs- they will have to slip them in the air that I breathe. I am determined not to let some Ben and Jerry's eating, California beach bum, show me up.

Anyway, try not to get a blood test done while you are doing this. Or at least avoid looking at the triglycerides and cholesterol levels. Your doctor may have a shit hemorrhage. Mostly, I've found that doctors don't understand. This is a helluva lot easier and cheaper than a gastric bypass and you aren't gonna convince me that cutting all that tissue is healthier, either. So that's the deal. A lot of animals are going to give up their lives this month so that I can look and feel like an Ethiopian again. Forty days, 50 pounds, or die.

All you can eat meat. The perfect diet for men.
